10 Q&A

Q: I am having a pacemaker fitted on 1st April. Can I have plasma rejuvenation?
Answered by Dr. TurnerMarch 17, 2019

A: No problem doing the PRP BEFORE your pacemaker is placed but I would not recommend it for a while post pacemaker implantation.

It would be best to ask your cardiologist however.

Q: Will PRP treatment under the eyes help increase collagen or thicken skin?
Answered by Dr. TurnerMarch 17, 2019

A: The injection of PRP to improve the appearance is a safe and somewhat effective procedure in the right hands. It will stimulate collagen production but will need to be repeated. Current thoughts include a gradual improvement with each injection having an improvement over the previous one. Long term it could be better than fat injections but there is no definitive research of which I am aware.

Q: Is Botox safe after the age of 60?
Answered by Dr. TurnerMarch 17, 2019

A: No Problem!

As always with any medical procedure or treatment,  be sure of the credentials of your provider.

Q: My vagina doesn't look normal is there loose skin? (photo)
Answered by Dr. TurnerDecember 2, 2018

A: Your labia are within the range of normal. Nothing unusual.

Women will seek a labiaplasty either because they have pain or irritation with certain activities or with clothing or because they don’t like the appearance of the length, pigmentation or asymmetry of their labia. Often it's a combination of all of the above. A choice for a labiaplasty is an individual personal decision. ONLY.

Q: I felt a sore throat coming on yesterday and this morning I am coughing and hacking stuff up. Am I safe to get filler today ?
Answered by Sarah GreenOctober 25, 2018

A: It should be okay to get Juvederm filler if you are feeling a little sick, however just for your own comfort you might want to wait until you feel a bit better.
