Jessely, Swelling and bruising will take time to disappear and one eyelid may heal faster than the other. At 5 days after surgery I would not worry.
There is no evidence that the effects of Botox or Dysport are reduced if a patient exercises on the same day of treatment.
I never restrict patient activities after their injections, since no effect on their results will occur.
There is no reason why you cannot have Botox injections eight weeks after retinal surgery. When properly used, Botox only affects the muscles around the eye and does not interfere with the function of the eye.
Facial or muscle movements will not have an effect on Botox or Dysport. Both are absorbed by muscles almost immediately, so spread of these products is not increased and their effectiveness is not reduced. If you are into yoga and want to do headstands after treatment, go for it!
