This experience with my Mommy makeover has been a great one. I've had surgery in the 2016 I had a BBL Fat transfer in Stone Mountain Georgia but I was advised then a Tummy tuck would be needed for my ideal results, Unfortunately I didn't have enough money to cover the procedure at the time and man am I glad I had a amazing journey looking here on REALSELF for my doctor and I found the BEST doctor in the south hands down DR. DAVID WHITEMAN I found him ok here through REALSELF because I am a member and I can see the doctors before and after work I noticed he's well over qualified back in November 2016 i reached out to his assistant Jackie and sent my consultation photos and she sent me back my quote of $10,900 from that moment I had my quote until last week I've been planning to have my surgery ! I set my date on 06/03/2017 and they confirmed my surgery would be Wednesday 06/07/2017 at 11:30 am I was more than excited before my surgery on Monday I had a full body detox colon cleanse foot detox and infrared sauna I'm sure that was why I had an easier healing process as well. The day before Surgery I went to my doctor and he got my prescriptions and had to get an authorized override from South Carolina and they approved it the morning of my surgery so instead of paying $250 for 3 prescriptions I paid $3.20 per prescription it was a total of $10.29 for medicine when I received my prescriptions the morning of my surgery I went straight to GWINETT MEDICAL OUT PATIENT right after I got my medicine. I arrived at 11:11 am and they checked me in by 12 pm Dr. Whiteman came in to do my markings after they did my iV and I met with the anesthesiologist , Surgery was a success and they finished that evening around 6 or 7 pm I remember my Dr coming in my recovery room and me mustering up enough energy to shake his hand and tell him he changed my life I remember him calling me a sweet girl and left the room his bedside manner is AMAZING!!! My childs father came to pick me up shortly after that and they made him watch videos on how to take the Catheter out of me the next morning and how to give me my blood thinner shots in my leg daily. We got in the car and went straight back to Greenville SC I could of stayed at my child's father mother house who lived in Atlanta and I stayed at her house the night before surgery but decided not to go back to her house because it was a hour Into atlanta passed Duluth and it made more sense to leave out of Atlanta because at 6 and 7 pm who wants to drive into Atlanta it took an hour and 30 min to get home from Duluth Georgia and once home I came in and sat in the lazy boy and got comfortable because I knew the lazy boy was gone be my new best friend for the upcoming week and it was lol ! I was sent hom with a total of four drains two up top for my breast lift and two below in my pelvic for my tummy tuck pain was an understatement but I was given promethazine and hydrocodone to tolerate it a week later I had my first appointment back at SOUTHERN PLASTIC SURGERY and it was finally drain removal day which is bitter sweet because before when I had my bbl it hurt like the Dickens when they pulled my drains out of me this time I honestly can say it wasn't that bad on a scale from 1-10 it was about a 4. Once drains where removed dr. Whiteman came in and discussed any unanswered questions I had and Also told me what's the best option with me returning to work. This man is more than a doctor he is honestly a new found friend him Jackie Beth and his assistant Hannah are all angels if I could do it all over I would as long as SOUTHERN PLASTIC SURGERY was my doctor. Thanks Doc your an amazing man and I promise I will take care of this body you designed so perfectly !
If you are a guy and you are reading this, then you already know the humiliation of having "man-boobs". Around my 50th birthday I began to develop them, and within a year I was too embarrassed to be seen without a shirt on. It impacted so much of my life. I am a scuba diver, beach and boat lover...so much of my life revolved around sun and water where the guys are usually shirtless. On top of that, having recently become single and wanting to date again, but there was no way I could get intimate when my boobs were almost as big as the women's I wanted to date. I was ashamed of my body. It affected my choice of clothing, my travel plans, my interaction with friends and family. .And to make it worse there was no one to talk to about it. I felt like my whole life was a big secret. After doing some research on line I finally got the courage to see Dr. David Whiteman with Southern Plastic Surgery. He and his staff were so friendly and supportive. I discovered that I wasn't the only one with this problem...in fact there are many of us guys out there doing everything we can to hide our condition. Dr. Whiteman was very supportive and assured me that he could correct my condition and that I would be very pleased with the results. It was a very scary decision. I was concerned about the outcome, the cost, the pain, missing work, and most of all hiding the fact that I was having a male breast reduction procedure from my friends, family, and co-workers. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the total cost was only $5600, as my insurance covered none of this. I was very happy to find that the procedure and recovery were not painful at all. I had it done on a Friday, telling work and friends that I was having lithotripsy for kidney stones instead of the truth. It took a few hours and then I was home and resting comfortably, I rested on Saturday and was up and about on Sunday. Back to work on Monday and no one suspected a thing. The hardest part was concealing the compression vest that I wore for a few weeks, but no one ever noticed it. As of today I still have some bruising (two weeks since surgery), but the results are incredible. My chest is flat, my nipples no longer protrude (they stuck out at least two inches or more from my chest). I will be comfortable going shirtless again as soon as the bruising is gone. I feel that I can date women again and not worry that my boobs are bigger than theirs, and not worry about their reaction when I take my shirt off. I no longer have to worry about the guys teasing me at the pool. I am motivated to start working out again. This has made such a huge impact on my life.I should have done this long ago.
