Reading a lot of various different experiences, the majority of coolsculpting has been positive. The reason I’ve decided on cool sculpting (yes I know it’s a very vain reasoning to even do this procedure for pure vanity reasoning) is because it’s non invasive, and my stomach area is just incredibly difficult to lose. I’m a fairly active person that is mindful of what I eat (I don’t splurge too often on what isn’t real food to fuel my body) and I exercise 5-7 times a week. Even at my leanest at sub 10% body fat, I till had back fat that I just couldn’t get rid of for the life of me. Even when the physical entered the room to give me a consultation, he aptly observed “what are we even removing??” Which I take as a huge compliment for the progress I’ve done myself! Anyways, now you know my back story, i want to update people with progress and my experience with this procedure! Today is the second day after the procedure, and I’m a bit sore in certain areas! I think the hardest part of this whole process (so far) is to wear this garment that wraps around where you had your procedure. I was instructed to wear it 23 hrs a day for at least 3 weeks. This garment is like a waist belt (for me) that gets uncomfortable (but not unbearable) after certain time. To their credit, they did offer me a full body garment as well, but the waist garment was easier/more convenient for me. I had 8 applicators the first day, which I will come back for a second session on my lower rear back, a total of 10. My flanks were the most uncomfortable portion during the procedure, and after 24 hrs, my body still feels tingly/somewhat numb-ish. Instead of massaging after the application of each section was fine, they used this tool that they told me was a more effective method than massaging the fat to break it up. They told me it would be the most uncomfortable portion compared to everything else, but it was fine for me, didn’t feel really any discomfort, except one side of my flank felt a bit more uncomfortable than the other side. But otherwise, the cooking part for the first 10 minutes felt a little uncomfortable but not unbearable. In fact when I was laying in my stomach, I almost fell asleep when I had the applicators target my lower back fat. It’s not a shock of sudden freezing temps too, it slowly gets cooler, cooler, then cold, then numb, if I were to describe it in detail... They gave me Netflix on their big screen to watch for my 5 hr procedure! And they gave me tea, water, and lunch as well! Premium service with the place at Glendora Perfect Medical Aesthetics, and the owner was at the top of the list on the coolsculpting website it’s a diamond crystal practice! I figure, if I get this done, I might as well get it done right, and not half ass it! Jeremy immediately told me what I needed to see fantastic result with my body type of 10 applicators during the initial consultation. Anyways glad this is done! Will update after a week! Updated on 16 Feb 2019: So I've noticed that hardest part about my procedure is to wear the garment. Exercising seems to be cumbersome, and so is sitting down in the car... This garment stretches around your waist and is secured by Velcro. There's a lower half and an upper half. I suppose this helps shape your mid section to keep it nice and thin. Also, I noticed (maybe because of the garment) I can't eat as much as I normally do. In fact, I would feel somewhat sick if I eat as I do normally. I'm about 70% of what I would normally eat (and I would normally eat a lot) I haven't changed very much in my diet. Updated on 3 Mar 2019: I can slowly see that things are changing a bit. I till feel numb at the areas, but slowly getting more sensation back! Updated on 13 Mar 2019: So I’ve lost an avg of 2 inches without losing significant amount of weight (went from 207 to 203). I noticed after the session of the areas, it swells up! The garment is there to help tighten our skin to the area where we had the procedure done, a practice my coolsculpting place absorbed from their liposuction experience. Updated on 6 Jan 2020: So I know I can work out and probably achieve similar results. But I want people to know what they’re getting into. I had 10 sessions total. The left is roughly about a year later, about the same weight. +\- 1 lbs. the right is pre-procedure. One thing I noticed is that my waist line (what I wanted to hit the most did go down about an inch almost 2 inches at best). Now, is probably about 1/2” down, but I’ll see once I get back down to sub 200’s again, but that’s just losing weight again. So with this in mind, was it worth it? Probably would’ve spent money on lipo instead. Results are shown immediately, and not as subtle. Kind makes me feel like I wasted 4500 when lipo was almost the same cost, and a much more noticeable difference.
