I removed a mole on my face April 2023 with Metropolis Dematology located in DTLA. They pretty much left me with a huge dented scar that I didn't like at all (Picture below) & I went back for 2 laser treatments thinking it would fix the issue. It did not. Plus I had a third one booked. I'm glad I did not go back!!! From there I started looking on the internet and came across Scar Healing Institute with Dr. Hazany. He assured me he could fix my issue because I arrived sooner rather then waiting one year for that scar to heal. Plus he knew exactly who did my procedure at that place without me telling him who... which was insane to me lol. Honest to god going in. I was a little skeptical if he could really help me and I thought he was just bullshitting me, but he was right! I only doubted him because of my past experience. Dr. Hazany, Dr. S. Hazany, & their staff really fixed my issue (picture below). It's still in the healing process, but on the way to recovery...

I had pretty severe acne growing up which left a lot of rolling and boxcar scars on my face. I’ve tried quite a few things before coming here. (Different kinds of fillers, a few laser treatments, micro needling sessions, but none of them made a noticeable difference)

However after doing some more research, I’m glad I found SHI. They are one of the few places in the states that perform subcisions, which is a necessary step to break down the scars that are pulling the skin down causing the pits. In addition they also use sculptra which helps the skins to generate new collagen and fills in the scars.

The staff here are so kind and friendly, I felt very much cared for. I even scored some free lunch haha, it was devious.

I had wide boxcar scars all throughout my face for over a decade. Dr. Hazany and his team (Dr.V, Jeff, Curtis, and Ian) are experts and have been tremendous during my treatment and healing process. It’s been over a year since I first visited them and my skin hasn’t looked this good since I was in elementary school.

Fantastic office that treats their clients with compassion and respect. They did great work on my scars and have been communicative and supportive on my scar healing journey. I’d trust Dr. Hazany and his crew any day of the week for any skin problem I have. It felt really good to finally find working solutions.

If you're clear about what you want fixed, they'll know the exact way to get it done, nothing more, nothing less, no fluff. Sarah was especially amazing during the treatment, she took extra time and got every single one of my scars - even the really small ones. She even touched up on a small scar on my nose! Plus her voice is very soothing so it makes the treatment a lot less stressful that I thought it would be. You can tell she genuinely cares about the patients.

I’ve struggled with acne scarring for years and have had countless procedures and lasers done. I’ve spent thousands and thousands of dollars, had painful invasive treatments done, and horrible recovery periods and downtime. All with minimal if any results. I had all but given up on being able to smooth out my skin, but then I found Dr Hazany. After researching, I realized that he takes a completely different and innovative approach to scarring. I had a consultation and quickly decided to move forward with his treatment protocol, including Phenol Cross, Subcision, and Sculptra. I’ve had two appointments so far and even though I’m not done the results are already amazing. I have a huge reduction in my scarring and my face looks so much healthier and smoother.
Other perks- the office is beautiful and comfortable, the staff are all friendly, kind, and knowledgeable, and Dr Hazany is a genius at what he does. Wish I could give more stars! Dr Hazany and his staff gave me my confidence back!

I have had such a great experience with Dr. Hazany. My stomach scar from a car accident was so noticeable when I came to him, after lasering and micro needling my scar looks SO much better and less noticeable and has been going away. I feel more confident, and I’m grateful for his help!

Excellent experience. I have seen a big difference in my acne scars. I highly recommend Sarah and she did a great job with the subcision. Sarah is very friendly, professional and excellent bed side manners. The office is very nice and clean. All the staff is wonderful and kind.

This location provides procedures that other places simply don’t. They were able to dramatically diminish the appearance of a severe facial scar I have and my acne scars. The staff was nothing short of amazing and made me feel really taken care of. I had an excellent experience here.

Sarah and Dr. Hazany have changed my life. I got hit by a car and would have forever had my face deformed from my broken nose, broken orbital bone, stitches but Dr. Hazany gave me injections to get rid of the scars.

I don’t typically write positive reviews but I had to let everyone know how amazing SHI is. You’ll have the best experience and I do not say this lightly because I can be very critical of doctors. Sarah has amazing bedside manner and made painful injections almost painless!
