Thread Lift

tobdeterm1ned

5 weeks post procedure & gutted - threads still visible & lump at entry point

This is really difficult for me to write. Though the doctor was truly lovely, I feel like I took $4500 and threw it into the wind. She was very gentle and the procedure itself was pain free. I booked and paid for a full face of threads, I was surprised to find this was actually only for the mid part of face. The thread lift cost was $3000 and another $1500 on fillers. I mostly wanted to treat my nasolabial folds and smile lines. There was a lifted look to the cheeks after the procedure, however this returned to normal after 3-4 weeks. I’m now at 5 weeks post procedure and all the threads are still visible, and there’s a lump at one entry point. Sadly this is the only noticeable change from before and after my visit. I’m getting married this week and have had to change my hair style plans from an up-do to down in an attempt to hide the very visible threads on both sides. I’ve actually had several friends comment on the “scars” they’d never noticed before. I’m heartbroken as I’d worked hard to save this money, hoping to feel refreshed on my big day, and instead I’m out a year of savings and feeling more insecure than before. It’s had a profound effect on my self esteem and I’ve shed many a tear over this. For reference I’m 38 years old.
