I am going to have a breast reduction and TT on August 12. It has been a difficult journey so far as I had to quit smoking in order to be able to even be considered for surgery. I had to pass a nicotine test to even be scheduled. I understand why now and am actually grateful because this gave me the push I needed to quit for good. I haven't smoked since father's day and i was finally scheduled last week. Pre-op appt is on Aug 6th and I have so many questions for my surgeon. I am starting to worry about upper pole fullness of my breast with just a reduction and am also wondering if a lift is part of the resduction. Also, I have seen so many reviews on this site and i want lipo under my arms so it doesn't look weird afterwards. As far as my tummy tuck goes, I want to make sure some lipo of the flanks happens so I do not look boxy after this is done. My insurance approved my breast reduction but not tummy tuck and i expected that. My breasts are a 36 DDD and I would like to be a full C. I am almost 36 years old (my procedure is 3 days after my 36 bday) and I have 1 child and weight 166 lbs. I am down from 205 and have maintained my weight for 1 yr but have plateaued so looking forward to a flat belly. I have not seen much of my surgeons work and there has only been 1 sort of bad review of him in this site but have heard nothing but wonderful things from people in town. I am just looking for advice and any tips from this community. Updated on 13 Aug 2019: Post up day 1. Went to the surgeon today and got a first glimpse at my breast and tummy tuck. I am so sore in my tummy that I practically have no breast pain. Got my drains taken out of my breasts today also.
