Absolutely at Ease - knowledgeable and informative

Cailie was absolutely amazing. She was very knowledgeable and informative. She kept me smiling and happy during the appointment. Being at ease when someone is injecting you is so important and I would not hesitate to tell anyone to go see Cailie!

I always leave the office feeling refreshed and looking natural

I have been going to this practice for many years and have always had a great experience. I always leave the office feeling refreshed and looking natural. I never look like I have had too much botox and I love that people are surprised when I tell them I get botox. The staff is up to date on all the current products and anti aging solutions. The front office staff are polite and...

She eased my mind and helped it look so natural

Meg is seriously the best! I would not trust anyone else! She’s so gentle and calming. Also does an amazing job! She listened to what I wanted. I was nervous about getting my lips done but she eased my mind and helped it look so natural! Also her numbing method… amazing. Highly suggest. Also the prices are so competitive!

Incredible Botox service - couldn’t be happier

I love Promd health in Baltimore. From the moment you walk in the lobby until you check out, it’s absolutely first class service. This last visit Amanda did my Botox and I couldn’t be happier. She even let me film the process and to top it off answered a question I had regarding the service, on a Saturday night no less. Now that’s dedication. Did I mention how happy I am with my Botox...

Q: Is it possible to dissolve Voluma?
Answered by Dr. GavrilaApril 14, 2023

A: If Voluma was the filler product used in your chin treatment, it can be dissolved to revert back to your original facial structure. Typically, a provider will inject a small amount of hyaluronidase directly into the area where the filler has been injected. The amount of hyaluronidase used may range from a few drops to a few units, depending on the specific case.

It's important to note that while hyaluronidase can be an effective method of removing filler, it should only be administered by a qualified healthcare professional who has experience with this procedure. Incorrect use of hyaluronidase can cause skin irritation or allergic reactions, so it's important to seek treatment from a licensed medical professional.

Q: Can I get a skinPen and then a IPL/BBL 6 days later?
Answered by Dr. GavrilaApril 14, 2023

A: After a microneedling treatment, it's generally recommended that you wait at least two weeks before undergoing an IPL or BBL treatment. This allows your skin to fully heal from the microneedling procedure and reduces the risk of any adverse reactions when undergoing the next treatment.

Since both treatments involve stimulating the skin's natural healing and renewal processes, it's important to space them out to allow for appropriate healing time. Your skincare professional can provide specific guidance on the appropriate timing for your individual case based on your skin type, the extent of your skin concerns, and other factors.

Q: Botox and Dysport - is there a difference between the two?
Answered by Dr. GavrilaApril 14, 2023

A: Botox and Dysport are both injectable treatments used to reduce wrinkles and fine lines. They work by relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles to form. We compare the two products like Pepsi and Coke. Although they are similar in their overall effects, there are some key differences between the two.

Firstly, Botox and Dysport are made from different strains of botulinum toxin, which is the active ingredient that relaxes the targeted muscles. Dysport has a slightly smaller molecule size compared to Botox, which means it may spread more easily and work faster.

Botox and Dysport are talked about in different unit terms as well. 20 units of Botox typically treats one facial area, while 60 units of Dysport will treat one facial area.

Ultimately, the choice between Botox and Dysport is usually best made in consultation with a qualified provider who can assess the patient's needs and recommend the appropriate treatment option.

Q: Is use of cannula recommended for Restylane or Restylane Lyft for cheeks? Which product is better for use on cheeks?
Answered by Dr. GavrilaSeptember 26, 2019

A: I do recommend the use of a cannula in the cheek and train all my providers to more safely and accurately correct the cheeks with a cannula. Cannular delivery of dermal fillers is safer, less traumatic and leads to a more desirable result with less down time, in the right hands. As to which product to use in the cheeks; I recommend Lyft because it has a higher G prime and can generate more projection and correction than Restylane classic but again, every case should be carefully assessed by a well-trained provider.

Q: How long does it take for Restylane Lyft to set?
Answered by Dr. GavrilaSeptember 26, 2019

A: The 'setting' of any dermal filler varies from patient to patient but I always inform my patients to neither love nor hate their filler for 2 weeks- Restylane Lyft, included.
