Dr. Bautista : Unsung Hero Angel in Disguise

It is challenging to fully articulate the depth of my gratitude and admiration for Dr. Harold Bautista, both as an exceptional physician and as a compassionate human being. He surpassed my expectations in every conceivable way, particularly with my complex scar revision case—a challenge that several other doctors had declined. My only lament is that I did not discover him sooner, which would h...

Office review - compassionate and informative

After reading reviews, I decided to chose Plastic Surgery Services of Fredericksburg for my tummy tuck. Dr. Heppe was wonderful from start to finish. The staff was by far the nicest bunch I have ever met. Both Dr. Heppe and the staff answered all of my questions and I never once felt rushed. They even recommended a few things I may want to purchase after my procedure to help with recovery so...

My results are better than I could have imagined or expected

I never write reviews, but I felt this necessary. If you’re considering Dr. Aflaki, look no further. He did an extended tummy tuck, breast lift and Lipo for me a little over 12 weeks ago. During my consultation he answered que...

Q: So I have this wide bulbous nose tip, can a Tip Plasty help? (Photos)
Answered by Dr. AflakiSeptember 1, 2020

A: Hello and thank you for the question and sharing your photos. I believe you are a great candidate for rhinoplasty. You have a bulbous nasal tip and alar flaring. You will benefit from nasal tip refinement and alar base reduction. There are a variety of techniques that can be utilized, including trimming the nasal tip cartilage, suturing techniques, cartilage grafting or combination of those. My best advice is that you discuss your concerns and aesthetic goals with a board-certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in performing rhinoplasty. I would ask to see before and after pictures of their real patients. It's important that you trust your surgeon's skills and ability to achieve the results you are looking for. In particular, pay attention to your surgeon's experience with rhinoplasty. Best, Pejman Aflaki, M.D. Johns Hopkins-trained double board-certified plastic surgeon

Q: Do they cut the lower lateral cartilage when performing a nose job ?
Answered by Dr. AflakiSeptember 1, 2020

A: Hello and thank you for your question. It is common to trim the lower lateral cartilages, which is intended to improve tip bulbosity and refine the nasal tip. It is important to avoid over-trimming as it can lead to alar collapse and interference with breathing. . Q: Can my nose collapse 18 years post-op rhinoplasty?
Answered by Dr. AflakiAugust 9, 2020

A: Hello and thank you for your question. Rhinoplasty results evolve over time. While it is possible to develop collapse of nasal cartilages in the middle or loss of tip projection, I cannot give you any specific advice without seeing your pictures or an in-person examination. Q: Will I be denied surgery for based on my BMI?
