Morpheus8

I’m Going to Do This Three Times?

Ahhh…the things we do to ourselves to assuage our vanity. I’m fifty-one. After a lifetime of staying out of the sun, I got a terrible sunburn on my chest. It’s been over fifteen years and that sunburn has never gone away. As I’ve gotten older, the skin on my neck and chest has degraded and become both leathery and crepey. The texture is bizarre. I tried IPL twice (two rounds, six sessions) to very little result. The v-beam laser test didn’t do much either so I purchased three sessions of Morpheus8 for my face, neck, and chest to work on the texture and (at least) bring a little collagen back to my fried skin. My face is actually fine, it’s just aging. I’m not a big fan of the aging process. Why can’t I just look and feel the way I always have? Anyway…yesterday was my first session of Morpheus8 and I didn’t tolerate it very well. Apparently, I’m a bleeder. The technician wasn’t able to get the needles particularly deep on my thin, fragile skin and I have a big black eye from her attempt to use what would be a normal depth for anyone else. Word to the wise, this treatment HURTS. I watched a ton of YouTube videos before my treatment and nothing prepared me for the reality. I did an hour of numbing cream and took the NOX and it still made me want to jump every time the needles stamped my skin. I didn’t, of course. I might’ve kicked a few times but I’m a stoic soul. I’m not usually a complainer and I don’t have a super-low pain threshold. I don’t know what happened. My neck and chest went better than my face. I still bled profusely but it was less painful. I think the numbing cream was on longer and that helped immensely. It took more than a half-hour for the Nitrous to wear off enough for me to drive home. The technician waited with me until I was good. I was shaking for another hour after that. I don’t look terrible (except for the black eye). I was bright red for four or five hours but I expected to look like hamburger after all the blood. I’m a little red and swollen (and shiny from the post-treatment salve) and certainly don’t look good enough to go out in public, but I don’t think I’ll have a problem healing up in a few days. I can’t believe I’m going to do this another two times. Updated on 18 Jun 2022: It’s day number three and my skin is healing. I’ve been pushing about 100 ounces of water a day and between the treatment and all the water, I can see a big improvement in the texture of my skin. It doesn’t show in the photo because I’m still a bit bruised, but I think this is going to work. (Bonus result …I must’ve been mildly dehydrated for years because my increase in water consumption over the past few days has brought my (usually sky-high) blood pressure to a normal level.) If it weren’t for my black eye, I would be able to wear makeup and look presentable. As it is, I’m hanging around the house and taking care of myself. Updated on 2 Jul 2022: It’s two weeks out. I think I’m starting to see an improvement in the crepey skin of my neck - my chest is still fried-feeling. I think my facial skin looks great and I only have the faintest shade of yellow from the black eye. I’m not looking forward to going back in two weeks- however I’ve split the next treatment in two: one appointment for face, one a week later for neck and chest.

Moxi

Such a transformation of the health and clarity of my skin

I have had two of my three scheduled Moxi treatments and a Diamond Glow facial with Tabatha! I had dark spots due to sun and aging, acne scarring and age lines. I am amazed at how these treatments along with using their cleansing and care products has made such a transformation of the health and clarity of my skin. Thank you Tabatha for all you have done to correct the results of years of unprotected tanning and the natural wear and tear on my skin! Thank you Tabatha and Pittman Plastic Surgery for giving me a healthier (and I feel) younger look! You are the best!P.S. They also introduced me to Upneeq, drops for drooping eyes! I actually feel like I can see better too!

Natrelle Breast Implants

Why didn't I do this sooner - it's been so amazing to feel proportional

20 years ago before I had kids I had a consultation in Atlanta for a breast augmentation it didn't feel right and then life happened. 3 kids later I ended up smaller than I was pre-pregnancy. I'm 5'7" and 135lbs. I do Crossfit 5 days a week. I started at a 34 AA but because I had been a small D, full C during 3 pregnancies and breastfeeding my breast looked deflated. I spoke with several friends who all recommended Dr Pittman at Pittman Plastic Surgery. I went in for a consultation having a base idea of what I wanted from pictures of me with boobs post pregnancy and breast feeding plus lots of wish pictures from this site. One thing I was concerned about was the huge chest tattoo I have that covers one entire breast. It looked sad with my deflated boobs. Dr Pittman and his nurse Alex weren't phased and we worked with the 3D imaging to help get the tattoo back to its perky self. The scan suggested I start at 385cc moderate profile but I didn't feel like that gave me the look that I really wanted. We stared with sizers at 385cc with High Profile Natrelle Cohesive Gel implants and went up to 520cc. The minute we hit 485cc I knew that was exactly what I wanted. The 520cc was just too big and I wasn't a fan of having to go over a "speed bump" when moving my arm back and forth. The 485s felt so right. They let me take pictures with a shirt on and the silhouette was amazing, my upper body finally aligned with the curves of my hips. We met with Michelle the patient coordinator and she walked through the cost of the high profile cohesive gel implant, the under muscle surgery/anesthesia, and scar treatment. My husband and I didn't feel pressured at all to sign on the dotted line and I wanted to sit with the information for a little bit. On the ride home we had lots of conversation and when we got home I called Michelle and scheduled my augmentation for the following Thursday. I put a deposit down and the remaining balance was due at my pre-op appointment. On the week of surgery I went in on Monday for my pre-op and my husband and I spent about an hour/hour and half talking with Mallory about the entire process. She was extremely professional and kind. She answered all of our questions and reviewed the implants that I was slated to get on Thursday. While I was still nervous about surgery she did an excellent job of outlining the entire process and talked through my expectations. She gave me all of prescriptions and Hibiclens soap (for showering Wednesday night and Thursday morning) so I would be all set for Thursday. On Wednesday she called and confirmed my surgery would be at 9:30 on Thursday. I got in one last gym session and then took a muscle relaxer 2 hours before my arrival time. When I got to Dr Pittman's office my husband and I spoke with the nurses who were going to be taking care of me, the anesthesiologists, and Dr Pittman. I got an IV and they walked me back to the OR. I remember getting on a really warm bed and then waking up at home. I'm a light weight when it comes to medicine so even one muscle relaxer had me almost knocked out. I slept most of Thursday and a good portion of Friday. I consistently took the muscle relaxer and pain medication for the first two days. On Saturday I began the transition to tylenol during the day but kept the muscle relaxer on the regular 8 hour increments. I was super bloated and pretty miserable in the GI department so I started a daily Colace to help get things moving again. In hind sight I probably should have started those on Thursday when I got home. Day 3 was the rock bottom day for me and I did speak with the nurse because I had a bit of a cough. She advised moving around a bit more and loosening the post surgical bra. That made a huge difference and on Sunday I started feeling a little better and took a shower. I went back to work on Monday. I work remotely for a tech company so I could alternate between sitting and standing at my desk and laying on the sofa with my laptop. I really learned how much you use your pecs when you type. But nothing that two Tylenol couldn't take care of. I took my muscle relaxer each night and that helped a ton with sleeping elevated. I also had a good routine with bags of frozen peas for 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off. I just had my first post op visit and they look amazing. I didn't have any bruising and my incisions are healing up amazingly. I had my sutures removed and I was told I can take off the steristrips next Friday and be free from a bra at night. They also let me know I could go get some new bras that had wide supportive bands on the bottom and separate cups with no underwire since the surgical bra had given me a bit of road rash on my left shoulder (maybe a 34 B was a bit too snug for my left boob). Dr Pittman and his nurse Alex were impressed with how well I'd healed in a week. I got clearance to go back to the gym for work on a bike erg and light curls. Nothing overhead or pushups/pull-ups. I'm 100% okay with that and plan on following a shoulder injury routine after a month of cycling and band work with my legs. I setup another appointment to come back at the 1 month mark. I'm so excited to see them once they settle in and for warm weather. It's been so amazing to feel proportional and womanly. I can't wait to shop for bathing suits and some new clothes. I definitely made the right decision and the entire staff at Pittman Plastic Surgery has been extremely professional, friendly, and kind. I can't recommend them enough.

Not pleased

I am so happy that I discovered Pittman Plastic Surgery. I've had the opportunity to meet most of the staff throughout my many office visits, and everyone there is so friendly, attentive, and supportive. They helped ease any worries that I had and answered all questions that came to mind. Aside from that, I've had amazing results from my procedures there. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Pittman and his staff! Updated on 25 May 2022: I wish I had waited to write my original review. I've had an amazing experience with the staff st Pittman Plastic Surgery, but I'm unfortunately not pleased with the results and care I received. Every meeting with Dr. Pittman felt very rushed, and when I brought up concerns about pain I felt or aesthetics, it felt like it was being brushed off. "Oh, you probably ticked a nerve," or "You look fine but if you FEEL that it's necessary to fix something, come back in a year." Well a 1+ years later, the area where I felt pain is completely numb and the aesthetics are not resolved. I called to see how much it would be to correct, and Dr. Pittman stated he'd refuse to correct half of the issue because it looked fine to him (I thought it was my body), and I still have to pay full out of pocket fees when it's something that should have been done in the original surgery. There are many pros to coming here because they offer great package deals and like I said, the staff is great, but if you're looking for attention to detail and to be fully heard, please look elsewhere.

Breast Augmentation

Pre Op and Surgery Scheduled - 36 Y/o Mom, 5'8", 160 Lbs

I am so so excited. Beyond excited. I had my consultation last week with Dr. Chelsea Venditto at Pittman Plastic Surgery. It was a very uplifting experience, Dr. Venditto is compassionate and non judgementa, and a beautiful mother herself. All of the staff were friendly, and their financial secretary was extremely helpful. I can't wait for the New Year, we set my breast augmentation surgery for 01/06/2023. My poor girls can't even fill an A cup after 2 kids and many months nursing both. I am 8 months post partum, done making babies, and ready for my new breasts! I'm 36 years old, 5'8", and 160 lbs. Dr. Venditto suggested going with 445 CC's but I am quite tall with a wide frame, and heavy boned. After looking through a ton of reviews and experiences on this site, I think I'm going to ask for 520 CC's. I want them to be large, but not too fake looking... But I have a feeling I will wish I went larger if I stick with 445 CC's. I'll update after my pre op next week! Updated on 27 Dec 2022: 11 days until the big day! Picked up all my scripts today. I am in addiction recovery and opted to forgo any opiates. I am prescribed suboxone / buprenorphine and have been instructed to stop taking it 24 - 48 hours before surgery to avoid complications with the general anesthetic. Ill resume taking my medications as perscribed immediately after. I tried on the sizers again and decided to go with 520 ccs. I'm 100% ready! Updated on 7 Jan 2023: I cant believe it but I got a breast augmentation! I have wanted breasts since I was 13 years old and realized the puberty boob fairy never visited me. Surgery was a breeze, I was pretty nervous, but everyone was very kind and supportive. I don't remember falling asleep, but the next moment I was waking up with teeth chattering from the anesthetic... with 2 mountains under me! My ladies are looking pretty scarry at the moment. I got the SSF-520. I'm so glad I didn't go smaller, once they drop and fluff they are going to look amazing. The tops and my sternum are pretty swollen and tender. It's hard not to over do things. Even breathing deeply is a bit painful.. BUUUT it is absolutely worth it! Will continue to post updates. Updated on 15 May 2023: I let other people get to me and worried over going "too large". This was a mistake. I think my breasts look infanetly better than they did before, but they aren't what I was expecting. I do love that I feel proportional for the first time in my life. I feel very Womanly and my husband can't keep his hands off of me, even 4 months later. I am hoping there is still some "fluffing" yet. I am planning to get a nose job next year, so after that if I am still unhappy with my implant results I will get a revision. I am thinking 650-700 cc. I'll post another update later! Updated on 15 May 2023: Sharing my before/after photos :) I am 5'8" 150 to 160 lbs. 520 cc sub muscular. My left breast still hasn't dropped as much as my right. My doctor told me to keep massaging it and to give it more time. I am right handed and carry my children around on my right hip so I suspect that has something to do with it. I was 9 months post partum when I had my operation. I breast fed for 5-6 months. To quit lactating I took oral birth control. I stopped birth control 2 weeks before my operation (hormone BC increases chances of clotting). Overall I love my results, but like I said before, I do wish I had gone at least 100 cc's larger.
