Today I had my Halo procedure...I applied the numbing cream at 9am procedure was at 10am. It was prickly feeling and at times hurt a little, hard to breath when that machine was near my nose, but overall not much pain...the worst of it was after, it was cold outside and I had to blast the air conditioner on in my car in the winter on my face, this lasted about 1 hour...thank God I had to drive home about 40 minutes so most of my trip was with the air conditioner on and it cooled it down. I took a Benadryl and an anti inflammatory about a half an hour after I got home. My face is red and swollen. I don't know how I will sleep tonight more to come... Updated on 22 Dec 2016: Today I feel pretty good, My face is swollen again, but nothing hurts.. After yesterday about 3pm I felt good...no facial burn and no swelling after the Benadryl...Heads up Benadryl makes you very sleepy take antiflammatories if you can. I washed my face last night applied Nectar again, and this morning I applied the Nectar and it was nice..Skin feels a little rough and dry...not red and swollen like yesterday. I think if you can get through day 1 you are good to go.. The days to follow are pretty much the normal healing process, taking the meds too which people don't usually talk about the Acyclover 400 mg twice a day to prevent cold sores... Updated on 22 Dec 2016: Day 1 prior to appointment Updated on 22 Dec 2016: No pain but swollen Updated on 4 Jan 2017: So overall was left with a clean fresh face feeling, I wouldn't say it removed any acne marks just basically removed unevenness of skin pigmentation and freckles or blotches but I really didn't have those issues...I wanted more of an acne scar target...that I didn't get..I love the way my skin looks now it does seem to glow and have that pure look...everyone has different results, Id say I like mine right now..but I dont know if its worth the price, I have a second one scheduled this year in 2017, thinking I should do my neck area...since it didn't really do a major overhaul on my face...Im gonna ponder this idea.. Updated on 15 May 2017: Im updating my review, at first I really didn't see the great results, after a few months of healing I have a beautiful glow and also, my skin is totally renewed fresh and soft...its like baby skin...you can't really see the results until months later..Id say if you can afford it for women over 40 its a perfect move....
I had Halo Laser performed by an RN at my derm's office about 8 months ago. From the start I was disappointed for a couple of reasons, 1. downtime much much longer than I was told to expect. It was 8 days before I could put anything on my face aside from creams. 10 days total to heal. I was told I would be back to normal in 2-3 days. 2. No follow up care. No before/after pics taken at office. 3. Absolutely did nothing for my skin. I was told to expect smaller pores, smoother complexion and that this laser would also treat broken capillaries and promote collagen. It did none of those things. But what it did do was in my opinion leave the skin beneath my eyes thinner as I have had shadowing since the procedure and tiny blue blood vessels appear. When I brought this up to the nurse she denied that is possible. However, if before and after pics had been taken we then could compare. I would not rec this procedure. For the downtime, it is NOT worth it.
Absence of customer service False advertisement Product misuse Misleading practice Poor training Unethical behavior Unsatisfactory outcome of the treatment Wrongful disclaimer by a non medical stuff on the longevity of the product ( office manager claimed Botox should only last under two months ) Unfair Deceptive practice
