Fantastic Surgeon

I have had a fantastic experience with Dr Qin and his team. I started with fillers and botox, moved onto full face thread lift, and now booked in for eyebags and laser resurfacing. Dr Qin is very proffessional, and, being a man with no idea what im doing when it comes to beauty, he is extremely patient and only advises the best services for my needs. He is priced very competitively. Also, the girls on his team are lovely, and happy to offer me advice when i ring up with stoopid man questions.

Terrified of Needles but Mikki Was Brilliant.

I am so excited by my treatment that I got from Mikki the injector at this clinic that I can't help but share my joy with everyone. I was terribly scared for years to try cosmetic injections, as I had read about the risks and am also needle phobic. I finally built up the courage to go for a consultation with Mikki after my sister in law saw her and told me she was the best. On the way to the appointment I was nearly shaking I was so nervous, but told myself it was just a consult and I didn't have to go through with anything if I felt too scared.Mikki is obviously very used to managing nervous clients because she was so magnificent in calming me down and just talking to me about options, and generally having a chat. I didn't feel rushed at all, or like she was trying to get me to have injections. She just seemed to want to make me feel calm and informed. Honestly, I could have talked to her all day. She is that knowledgable about everything to do with skin and ageing and what can be done (and I felt she was very honest about what isn't achievable too) that it was so interesting to hear. And I felt she really listened to my fears and didn't ignore them, she gave straight answers to all my questions, and gave me her phone number in case I had anymore questions (which I did and she responded even outside of work of hours).I didn't have any injections on the day of my consult, I was still too nervous and wanted to think about all my options. Even though I took up over 40 minutes of Mikki's time, which she didn't charge me for, she never made me feel bad about it.I called after a few weeks to book in for anti wrinkle and dermal filler injections. My sister in law came with me, and once the doctor had given me a quick assessment, she held my hand during what I thought were going to be very painful and scary injections. I won't lie and say it was all painless, the numbing injections stung, but it was so much less scary and painful than I had built up in my head.Mikki was great with keeping the needles out of my sight, as I had asked her to do, and she used cannulas which made me feel better about the safety risks, and we all talked throughout the injections. I had some swelling afterwards, from the numbing injections and normal swelling of course, but even with that I could immediately see the difference in how I looked. After a couple of days the swelling went down and it took about a week and a half for the anti wrinkle injections to work completely, I am so proud of myself that I went through with it, and ecstatic with my results. I am totally in love with everything Mikki did, and my sister in law was so right, Mikki is the best!I'm so over the moon with how much better I feel about my appearance that I am willing to continue to go back, even though I am still afraid of needles, when I need top ups to keep this new look going!I couldn't be happier and am so grateful that Mikki took such time effort and care of me. I don't think I would ever have been able to go through with it if she wasn't so amazingly calming and brilliant. So happy now!

The best injector ever —I'm now a customer of hers for life!

I have been receiving botox and dysport injections and fillers for over a decade and have had these done by many other injectors, including plastic surgeons, doctors and cosmetic nurses over this time period. I went to see Mikki after being referred by a friend (who also looks fantastic) and I immediately felt welcome and comforted by Mikki's friendliness. Mikki did a consultation with me which was much more thorough than anyone I have been to before , and gave me plenty of important advise about the risks and my options and information about what could be done for the areas of my face that I wasn't happy with plus scientific information which was really interesting and made a lot of sense in how my face has changed over the years and how we can make it look better. I didn't feel pressured at all (unlike some other places I have been who tried to pressure me to spend more) and Mikki actually advised against a couple of things that I was prepared to pay for, but she said I didn't need. I felt like she was helping me get the best results rather than just getting money out of me. She helped me come up with a plan of what areas of my face to inject and I felt that she had listened to exactly what I said I wanted to achieve and used this in the plan. I ended up spending less than I was prepared to spend, even after I told her my budget. After I saw the doctor for the final consultation who went over everything with me again and agreed with Mikki's plan, she got everything prepared and talked me through it all so I was reassured and knew what to expect. I had fillers for my lips, cheeks and jawline and dysport for my crows feet, frown lines and an eyebrow lift. A cannula was used for the fillers in my cheeks and jawline, which I hadn't had before but Mikki explained the purpose of it. She used a needle for my lips and dysport injections. I don't have a very high pain tolerance so I am always anxious when I get injections but these were the least painful ones I've ever gotten! It was a tiny bit uncomfortable at times but quick and I would't say I had any actual pain, just some weird feelings at times which quickly went away. I had a dental block for my lips and I didn't feel my lip fillers at all! All my lip fillers before at other places had been painful, so I couldn't believe that it was totally painless (but I did feel numb in my mouth for about half an hour after). During my injections Mikki chatted with me, and it was so nice having that distraction. At one stage I forgot about the injections because of what we were talking about! She was super down to earth and easy to talk to. After my injections Mikki gave me information about what I should afterwards and a pamphlet with instructions. She also gave me her card with her personal mobile number and told me I can call or text her whenever I like if I have any questions, which made me feel very supported. Now that it's been a few weeks since the injections and the dysport has kicked in and my lip swelling has gone down (I loved the swelling as it made my lips bigger so I kind of wish the swelling was still there!) and I can see my results I so completely happy with them. I am wrinkle free and my brow lift has made my eyes look bigger. My jawline and cheeks are amazing, I can't stop looking at them! I love my lips, they are the perfect shape for my face. Im experimenting with different make up now which is really fun! I just love that I look natural. My mother actually told me how great I look after years of her telling me I shouldn't do injections, she even said how natural it looks! If you knew my mother you would know what a big deal that is!! I am so happy I was referred to Mikki, and I have now referred other friends to her too. She is now the only injector I will go to, and I recommend her to anyone wanting cosmetic injections! I have texted her since my injections with photos and she has been so helpful, including answering questions outside of business hours about skin care and other treatments. I'm now a customer of hers for life!

Vaser Liposuction

Upper, lower abs and flanks, tracking progress

Did my upper and lower abs and flanks. - HISTORY -I've been putting off lipo for approx 4-5 years now. I always wanted my stomach/flanks done.I've been dieting and going to the gym. I did lose 10kgs on keto (from 75kgs to 65kgs), my stomach was larger but the more weight I lost, the unhealthier I became and losing more weight will just result in more strength loss.I have been putting off lipo because I thought smaller, non-surgical methods would work. I undergo cryofreezing about 4 sessions (which somewhat contoured and worked) and as you can see, my last session left 2 freeze burn marks on my stomach in-which I was very angry about.- CONSULTATION -I originally got a consultation in December 2019 with Dr Qin and he advised of Vaser Liposuction instead of traditional liposuction. I did more research at home and I was still skeptical because it will be my first major surgery.Dr Qin was understanding, professional and gave me the pros and cons. Also his experience and body types and how vaser lipo will affect me. More research online and just convincing myself to do it, I finally snapped out of my daze and booked Vaser Lipo on 27/07/20.- DAY OF PROCEDURE: PRE CONSULTATION PROCEDURE -The funny thing, I was not nervous as I the amount of research i've done over the last 5 years (on and off) and heavily researching in the last 7 months gave me confidence that Vaser lipo isn't that big of a deal. Dr Qin asked me if I was nervous and I said: "not really, I just know the annoying part would be recovery haha".Dr Qin further sat down with me before the procedure regarding all the pros and cons, after care, my body, what drugs they're going to use, if I am allergic, how long the procedure is, what am I going to do while in lying down. Also took before and after photos.I took some pills to help me relax during the operation. I was changed into typical hospital robe and next think you know it I was lying down getting prepped for the operation!- DAY OF PROCEDURE: THE OPERATION -The numbed me up and it took roughly 1.5 hours, pain during the operation: 1/10 (0 being no pain).I was calm during the operation and I can feel the rod inside me. I can describe it as someone constantly pressing against your skin back and forth. Like a massage. It felt great in the flanks as it felt like a massage, a bit forceful on my lower abs but still didn't hurt, just like someone trying to push me.Though, my upper abs it was different, sometimes it would hurt and it would sometimes brush against my ribs. I could feel the hot heat from the rod that melts the fat. I did not like that feeling. The numbing must not have worked there or something. I don't know.I had to turn to my side so the doctor can get into my flanks easier.- DAY OF PROCEDURE: FINISHED THE OPERATION -Once the lipo was done and I was stitched up. They applied a compression garment on me. 1st time wearing one and it was quite tight. A must need after lipo.Doctor gave me prescription of antibiotics and strong pain reliever to get.I had to rest lying down for approx 1 hour. Due to the amount of fat, some blood and liquid loss, I felt very light headed and dizzy when I got up. I needed to sit down for a further 1 hour. The nurse gave me alot of water and food which help the symptoms a lot. Next thing I know it, my friend is picking me up to take me home.- DAY OF PROCEDURE: HOME -I was very sleepy and leaking a lot of fluid. I layed down a few towels so it doesn't leak onto my bed. Leaking is normal. All I wanted to do is sleep, which I did. I had to sleep on my back, there is no way I could sleep on my side or stomach like I usually do.- Day 2 -The first 24 hours is the worse, as I was in alot of pain and couldn't move out of bed. My family members had to help me up. I did try get out of bed but it took me approx 3 minutes as any creasing or ab muscle strength would just sting and muscle pain will occur. I just layed in bed and drank as much water as possible.A Lot of liquid seeped out of me and had to change the towel quite a few times. I was glad I was leaking quite a bit! Apparently this is good! :)I drank 1.5 litres of water per day.- Day 3 -A tiny bit easier, pain was slowly going away and I could get out of bed in 2 minutes! haha. Going to the toilet was easier but walking is a challenge as each step triggered the bruising areas which slightly hurt with each step. Not leaking anymore.- Day 4: BACK TO DOCTOR -Back to the doctors at day 4, just a post operation check up. They said it's all looking good. Changed bandages. My family member had to drive me as getting up and down was still a struggle but getting easier. Swelling is appearing as anticipated.- Day 5 -Can get out of bed much more easier now, antibiotics finished and I didn't need to take the strong pain reliever as I was not hurting that much.- Day 6: -Swelling I believe is still continuing to expand. Garment is compression is going great.- Day 7: BACK TO DOCTOR -Back again, this time I drove. No hassles getting up and down. Nurse took out stitches and off I went.- Day 8 -Can toss and turn in bed, no pain. Skin is still tight, garment still on. No problems. Bruising marks healing nicely.- Day 9 to 12 -Same as day 8, can do everything as normal. No real pain. Swelling is still there like day 8 and I expect it to be there for quite some time. I will keep you posted more as time progresses! Updated on 24 Aug 2020: Week 2 - Still continuing every night lymphatic massages, late phase bruising yellow appearing dominant. - I can get up easier from bed, getting out of bed is easy and showering is fine - Some areas still hurt to touch, my flanks are sensitive and sometimes it stings when I massage it for half a second but that's normal as my nerves are still healing - Skin feels really tight when stretching a bit Week 3 - Continued to take it easy, still have the compression garment on 24/7 apart from showering - Bowel movements normal - Started going to the gym at 3.5 weeks. Avoiding machines and exercises that put pressure on my stomach area. No ab exercises Week 4 - Today was my checkup at the clinic, everything is going well, everything is going as planned. Surgeon and Nurse examined me, everything is ok which is great to hear. - Abs and flanks are still hard, still continue to massage through. I don't expect it to soften any time soon. - Discolouration of skin is normal and hopefully it goes away in the next coming weeks. - Skin feels loose and can stretch a bit. Skin doesn't feel tight like in week 2. Can freely move my mid section with ease.

Injectable fillers. I am delighted with the results

A lot of Volume loss in cheeks.. At the age of 57, rather predictable. But having high cheekbones & a habit of pouting has really pronounced the hollows. My confidence was at an all time low & had been thinking about fillers for so long but hated that pillow look you see so much. Over stuffed cheeks that look hard, bumpy & most of all fake. So I researched on this site I found Dr Qin. All the reviews were good. So I went. What lovely man! I felt trust straight away. We decided to spread 1 ml over each cheeks. Not a lot but enough for us both to see a significant improvement. He used a fine cannula. I was hesitant at first, but he assured me it was safer. Less chance of hitting blood vessels. He numbed the areas first by needle. I thought, gosh that was quick! Can I go now... the right side didn’t feel so bad at all... strangely feels like sticking skewer through meat... but of course it is.. ugh... The other side however was tougher to bare.. I felt sharp stabbing through my eye.. in fact I reacted by putting my hand up to it. He put it down & told me one has a more sensitive side... all normal. He was kind & encouraging that made m relax. I love the results, There is slight swelling were the cannula broke the skin, Looks no worse hun pain prick. I am delighted with the results. Very subtle but enough to make an improvement. I really liked this doctor & would highly recommend him.

Suffered extreme pain in both eyes after the surgery

Dr Sam (Guang) Qin did eye bag removal surgery for me in early 2021. After the surgery, I suffered extreme pain in both eyes and was admitted to hospital emergency department next day. I have seen several eye specialists after that to treat my eyes which costed me a lot of money and time. But until today my eyes are still not recovered and I'm suffering a lot physically and mentally!
