Originally from Sweden, Susanne Engberg has been a practicing plastic surgery registered nurse for 10 years in Santa Barbara. As an integral part of Montecito Plastic Surgery since its inception, Susanne is the Nurse Specialist for the Montecito Surgery Center, as well as the primary coordinator for CoolSculpting and Ultherapy. Susanne is a central member of the operative experience as she not only helps council patients pre-operatively but helps coordinate the preoperative medical preparation. She is an integral part of the operative team and is primarily responsible for patient recovery right after surgery. Additionally, Susanne has received advanced training in both technologies and is one of the most skilled aesthetic providers in California. Susanne is additionally a clinical expert in the ZO skin care system developed by trusted dermatologist Zein Obagi.

Locally raised, Alice has been an aesthetician for nine years and graduated with a degree in aesthetics from Santa Barbara Cosmetology Academy in 2006. She is fully licensed by the California Board of Cosmetology and Barbering. Alice was referred to us through some very happy clients, and we have been thrilled with her extensive knowledge of skincare and extraordinary work. Her ability to customize her treatments to her client’s needs fits perfectly with Dr. Lowenstein’s concepts of individualization of care. Alice’s approach combines her technical knowledge with a relaxing and soothing touch. Her attention to detail has allowed her to become a master provider of facials, chemical peels, full body waxing, and more. Her ongoing thirst for learning has made her a successful leader in the aesthetic industry and keeps her up to date on the latest skin care regimens and techniques.

Ruthie has been in the medical field since 2007, starting out as a reception service specialist, then successfully growing into an outstanding patient care coordinator. Ruthie will be your host, guiding you through your experience with Montecito Plastic Surgery. With her calmness, friendliness, and keen ability to listen, she will expertly help you navigate your consultation, surgery, and after care. She is always happy to answer any and all of your questions.

Cheryl is an outstanding nurse injector with expertise in the use of dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Voluma, Restylane, Sculptra, and Radiesse. She is additionally known as a clinical artist in the use of Botox, and in fact is recognized for her work with advanced applications of injectable fillers and neuromodulators for facial aesthetic enhancement. She is a clinical educator and Certified Allergan physician speaker/trainer, teaching basic to advance dermal fillers and Botox to physicians, dentists, nurses and physicians assistants from Southern California to New York City. She has over 6 years of experience consulting, educating and over 8 years of treating clients on skin care rejuvenation, laser and injectables. Cheryl’s “natural outcome” approach is well aligned with Dr. Lowenstein’s belief’s that fillers and Botox can create an outstanding addition to facial enhancement and rejuvenation when performed correctly and with refinement.
