It takes time for the hair to grow after the transplant. At 6-8 months you should see anywhere from 40-50%. It can take up to 18 months to see your final results.
So far it looks appropriate for the time frame.
There is no benefit to taking both medications. In fact this could significantly increase your risk of side effects. Propecia is the only approved prescription treatment for hair loss. The off label use of dutesteride decreases the amount of DHT(dihydroxytesterone) by up to 90% while Propecia is 60%. But the down side is that dutesteride increased the risk of side effects.
For me, with large sessions I prefer to do the FUT. done correctly the linear scar will heal with a minimal scar.
As you said. 3000FUEs can give a speckled appearance. Pick your suggestion carefully. Get reviews and look at pictures.
Minoxidil and finasteride work on a continuum. What I mean is that in 40-50 % it stops the loss and in another 40-50% it increases hair volume. So based on your pictures you have had a very good result. Not only have you stopped your loss, you have actually had improvement. Don’t stop the medications.
Minoxidil is only one treatment and certainly not the strongest. With female pattern hair loss platelet rich plasma (PRP) is a very strong and successful solution along with laser therapy and exosomes (very new and some what controversial).
Also lab tests would be included in the evaluation.
Many dermatologists just don’t want to take the time to keep up with the new treatments. This is not a criticism, they have so much other things to focus on, to take an hour for an evaluation is very time consuming. All we do at Medi Tresse is non-surgical treatment of female hair loss.
