Q: Rhinoplasty on wide face. Can I soften up the squareness of my tip and make it more proportional? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. PinnellaMarch 9, 2022

A: Based on the image you provided, it looks like your nose is slightly asymmetrical. A Rhinoplasty can definitely help soften the tip, however, keep in mind that it may not be possible to fix the asymmetry completely. Make sure to find an example of a nose you like and the shape you aim to achieve and show it to your surgeon during the consultation. Good luck!

Q: Wide, upturned, nose and prominent nostrils - Is my nose fixable? (photos)
Answered by Dr. PinnellaMarch 9, 2022

A: You could benefit from a Tip Plasty which will reduce the size of the tip and make it more proportionate to the bridge of the nose, as well as Alarplasty (reduction of the nostrils), which will make the base narrower.

Q: What are the disadvantages of having hanging columella?
Answered by Dr. PinnellaMarch 9, 2022

A: Hanging columella can cause aesthetic discomfort, however, in most patients, there are no known functional problems associated with it. Hanging columella can occur naturally or as a result of the previous rhinoplasty. It can be fixed surgically if you wish to do so.

Q: Am I a good candidate for tip rhinoplasty and lip lift? (photos)
Answered by Dr. PinnellaMarch 9, 2022

A: The look you’re going for is definitely achievable. The tip plasty surgery and lip lift can typically be performed together. Keep in mind you may not look exactly as the lady in the picture, but your features will be enhanced.

Q: Why do I like my nose from the side but hate from the front? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. PinnellaMarch 9, 2022

A: Your nose is actually very pretty - it fits the rest of your facial features quite nicely. If you wish to enhance it, try finding an example of a nose you like, and we'll see what can be done to help you achieve that look.
