I stayed two nights there before transferring to the Point Hotel for recovery, where MayClinik provided all transport. (The only downside was that some of the medical transport drivers smoked — something very different from what we’re used to in the U.S. I just wish they were smoke-free for patients’ comfort.) The care from the post-op nursing team was absolutely 5-star. Elif, Merve, and Selda took such good care of me — checking wounds, giving lymphatic massages (painful but the good kind), and helping me learn bits of Turkish along the way. The Point Hotel was perfect for recovery, with comfortable beds, accommodating staff, and a complimentary breakfast. By my two-week follow-up, I was walking upright and already amazed by my results. Dr. ?afak is a true artist. My new belly button looks so natural, and my body finally feels like it matches who I am inside. The results are beautiful, and I am healing rapidly. An unexpected gift was meeting other women recovering at the same time — we became instant friends and supported one another through the highs and lows. Recovery has been challenging both physically and mentally, but I can’t imagine having done it anywhere else. I chose Istanbul because of the high quality of care and affordability — the level of post-operative support I received here would have been impossible to afford back home in the U.S. The Turkish people have been kind, warm, and caring in every interaction. I would absolutely return to MayClinik and Dr. ?afak Çak?r for future procedures or treatments. This experience has been life-changing, and I’m deeply grateful.

I am so happy with dr yusuf work I am just over 4weeks post op and my scar is nearly non existent already. All staff/nurses are lovely and very attentive they made the whole experience run smoothly and I had no need to worry about anything. After 2 failed septoplasty’s done in the UK due to my breathing problems, I was left with more problems than I started with, including my breathing issues still not being fixed. A family friend told us about Mayclinik, and how they such a positive experience. In the beginning I was hesitant to go abroad and to receive surgery as this would be my third surgery on my nose and I at this point I had lost all hope, and was worried about what the outcome would be. The day of the surgery I was picked up and taken to the hospital. The hospital was immaculate, and the staff were incredibly helpful. Once I had signed all the documents, I had my blood taken and the anesthesiologist came in to discuss my blood results and that I was cleared for the surgery. After a short amount of time, my surgeon; Dr ?afak Çak?r, came in for my consultation. He immediately noticed my issues and explained what he would do in order to fix my nose. Due to the 2 failed surgery’s before hand, I underwent a septorhinoplasty. After the consultation I felt immediately reassured and confident with the surgery taking place. After my surgery I experienced no pain at all, and the nurses and staff at the hospital were so kind and made me feel really safe. After staying a night in the hospital, I was taken back to the hotel to recover. 2 nurses then explained to me how and when to take my medication and when to apply the ointments to my nose. For the next 6 days, numerous nurses, and a doctor visited me 3 times a day to check up on me. I was also able to contact them at anytime of the day, and they were very quick to respond. On the 7th day, I went to the clinic to get my cast taken off, and I was surprised to notice that I was able to breathe straight after Dr ?afak Çak?r took my splints out; the shape of my nose was also very natural and I was beyond thrilled with my results! I was also sent home with different medications in case of infection, and also scar cream to use once the area in which my stitches had been had healed. I am also able to contact a nurse; Ceren, from their medical team 24hrs a day, which has made me feel so much at ease. No question is too big or small, they responded with such efficiency and are so kind!!! Overall, my experience has been nothing but positive! I am genuinely so grateful to Dr ?afak Çak?r, Ceren, and his team for making me feel comfortable, safe and heard during this entire experience, I couldn’t thank you enough!!!

I am still in my garment after a tummy tuck and liposuction with Dr. Yousuf. I am still emotional about my experience with May Clinic. I have chosen them out of 15 groups and extremely happy. Extremely expensive but is was worth it EVERY cent of it. Unbelievably organised, clean, responsible, responsive, clean, English speaking staff, perfect hospital and the hotel, on the point drivers, having specialised groups and nurses for each part of the journey made this absolutely difficult procedure easier to take. I had very good pain killers so I did not experience pain at all which was my nightmare before going to Turkey. Unbelievably there are 5 nurses in the hotel every day and they visit you 3 times( morning to say hello, evening to say goodbye and a long visit to do the every day massages and wound dressings. They are so calm, patient, positive and helpful that it makes you less mental challenge during the hotel stay. Dr Yusuf is the loveliest and the best plastic surgeon specially in tummy tuck and liposuction doctor I managed to find in Turkey and Australia with a HUGE bunch of perfect experiences. Everything is so organised and timely that you absolutely do not need to worry about the next steps; just rest, walk, eat and drink well and relax; the May Clinic is there for you. They even keep checking on you with their special after care nurse team. I want to thank specifically nurse Elif for being overly responsible for the massage she did for me on the day that it actually was not her responsibility but crucial for my overwhelmed situation on the day I removed my two drains. I had breast reduction /lift with lipo and tummy tuck Dr Safak and nurse and hospital staff were very good. Not happy with two things the buldge I have above my stomach and the non existent aftercare it’s almost been 12 months. I have only been contacted by the aftercare nurse twice.
