Amazing from Start to Finish!!

Amazing from start to finish!! I had a breast uplift with implants in Prague in 2022 that left me with a very disappointing result. The surgeon had completely messed up the uplift & I was left with bowling balls in socks essentially. I had a consultation with James & immediately thought "this is the surgeon for me". Left me feeling confident that I could have my dream boobs &...

Male, 30s, septorhinoplasty - end result is so natural & masculine

It has now been a year since my septorrhinoplasty procedure. I am a male in my 30s who had a hump seen from the profile which I wanted to get treated. I attended for my first initial clinic appointment where a photograph was taken on that day and a 3d image was then made to show possible results. A second clinic is then required for planning. purposes and consent. Once that was sorted, I was...

Amazing results - my incisions are very small and tidy

I couldn't recommend Mr Murphy and his team enough. I have had a breast augmentation and from the very first consultation he understood exactly what I wanted to achieve from my surgery. MPS was recommended to me and I think that this is such a key element in finding the right surgeon for you. Both my consultation and Pre op were detailed and outlined exactly what I could expect from the...

My confidence is so much better - my nose has exceeded expectations

I went for my first consultation with James Murphy in December 2022. He listened to my concerns and what I wanted doing & gave me realistic expectations for what he could achieve. I went back for a second consultation in February 2023 with my mum as he advised I had some time to consider as I was only 20 at the time of my first appointment with him. We went through the risks and benefits...

Q: Do I need a lift and implants or just a boob job? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. JonesApril 15, 2024

A: During the aging process, the breast tissue sags and deflates resulting in loss of volume in the upper part of the breast, descent of tissue into the lower part of the breast with concomitant lowering of the nipples.
A breast lift (mastopexy) re-distributes the sagged breast tissue and is used to reposition the nipple back into a higher (more youthful) position. It does not provide much volume restoration to the upper part of the breast.
Breast implants are used to make breasts bigger and/or restore volume to the upper part of the breast. It does not significantly affect the position of the nipples.
From a plastic surgeon's point, the most important information to ascertain from the patient is what bothers them most: the size and/or shape of the breast (here, an implant alone may suffice), the position of the nipple ( here, a breast lift alone may suffice) or both size of the breast and position of the nipple (here an implant and breast lift, so called augmentation-mastopexy, would be needed).
In the photos provided there is deflation of the upper parts of the breasts. The left nipple is slightly lower than the high, however a comprehensive clinical examination with breast measurements would be needed to confirm this and aid in discussion regarding best treatment for what you want to achieve.

Q: Why do areolas look strangely shaped after breast reduction?
Answered by Dr. JonesApril 15, 2024

A: During breast reduction surgery a round mould is used to cut out the nipple-areolar complex. Once the excess breast tissue is removed the skin is sutured to the nipple-areolar complex. This is done under tension. It is this tension which gives the initial oval shape to the areolar. Overtime, the tension relaxes allowing the areolar to assume a rounded shape.

Q: Would love a smaller, softer looking nose & more rounded nostrils, would I get a good result from rhinoplasty?
Answered by Dr. JonesApril 15, 2024

A: Rhinoplasty surgery can straighten a deviated septum, refine the tip and improve the overall projection and rotation of the nose. Although the nostrils can also be altered, the overall shape is difficult to predict. From the photos you have provided the two nostrils are asymmetrical. This is normal. There is no guarantee that the nostrils can be altered to your desired shape. It is, however, almost certainly guaranteed that nostril asymmetry present before surgery will be present afterwards.

It is worth seeing a plastic surgery to discuss your concerns and expectations in detail.

Q: Will a lower facelift or neck lift fix my sagging crepey skin? (Photos)
Answered by Dr. JonesApril 15, 2024

A: The photos that you have provided show that you have very early jowl formation. The neck appears slim with fullness directly under the chin and some skin excess.
From a surgical position, the only relaible way to address changes to the lower face and neck is with with a full face and lower neck lift. This surgery will address any jowls as well as fullness in the neck.
Alternatively, a neck lift alone procedure can be done, however, as facial aging proceeds the jowls will be come more apparent.
You may wish to defer surgery until the future when the natural changes of facial aging become more apparent.

Q: In 2018 had a platysma plication, did not address sagging skin. Would a full facelift make the area worse? (photos)
Answered by Dr. JonesApril 15, 2024

A: From the photos you have provided it appears that there is some excess skin under the chin and central neck. The bands may simply represent folds of the skin or be due to recurrence of the platysmal bands. I would advise that you are seen by a plastic surgeon for a comprehensive examination, to see if your issues can be addressed.
