Tina is fabulous at what she does. I wanted to achieve a more relaxed and defined look around my eyes as I smile a lot and my crows feet were getting worse. She talked me through the process and it looks great now! I can’t wait for my next visit to get rejuvenated. 02/03/2020 I went for my consultation with a nurse at the clinic about laser removal (Picosure) of my tattoo. I was told that depending on the ink used and the depth of ink it wasn't certain how long or how many treatments it would take. She suggested any where from 8 to 12 treatments but I would be happy with a good fade and get a new cover that has some meaning to me without any color, just black.I did seek a cover tattoo a week ago with a tattoo artist but the new tattoo would be 20% larger and somewhat creatively confined and possiably having another meaningless tattoo, so I chose to seek laser treatment. I got this tattoo after thinking about getting one for 8 years! I wish I would have taken as much time thinking about what I would get and who would be doing it. This tattoo was done in Deep Elllum in Dallas at a place called Tiggers. I hated it from the time I got it. The lines are SUPER dark and thick. The shading, ugly. I hoping for a good end after living with this for so long. I start my 1st treatment tomorrow 02/10/2020. Updated on 11 Feb 2020: Well got my first laser tx today. I went in about 45 mins early so they could apply some numbing cream and allow some waiting time before treatment. They used two different lasers on me. The "TattooStar" for removing my red and "Picosure" for the rest of the colors. The treatment went fairly quick on my small tattoo but I won't lie, it hurt. I found the Picosure much more painful than the TattoStar but I have some really dark lining so maybe she juiced it up a bit (?) It felt like a rubber band was popping me REALLY hard. Lets just say, I'm glad my tattoo is a small one. They used a tube that looked like a vacuum that blew out very cold air and also placed a ice pack on it during the break times. I did have some "frosting" and it looked alot lighter but they explained to me that this affect was temporary and the tattoo would return to it's original darkness, as it did do. After treatment they applied a cream and covered the area with gauze and some tape. It felt hot, like a burn for a few hours but I kept an ice pack on it and it helped. Also took an Alieve. Pain was gone in a few hours. It now feels kind of bruised and sensitive. It's a little bit raised but I don't see any redness or blisters. I was told to keep it clean, moisturized and covered if it blistered. I did sleep with it covered last night hoping it wouldn't feel uncomfortable against my blankets. My tattoo looks the same but is just slightly a bit lighter. I can now see some of the detail that I haven't seen in a very long time. I have another appt set for April 6th (Six weeks). How often and many treatments are up to how I react to this first treatment. They did offer me a package deal of 600.00 dollars for 5 treatments (one treatment would be free) but I chose to pass and see my results for my first attempt and paid 150.00 at the time of my visit. Hoping to see some fading in the weeks to come. Here is my picture from a few hours after treatment. I would post a picture of the day after but it's pretty much the same. Updated on 12 Feb 2020: Wanted to post some update pictures. Last night I had a few blisters pop up and some itching as well. Most of the "burn" feeling is gone now but I feel bruised and tender still. I'm applying Aquaphor healing ointment several times a day to keep it moist and I'm covering it when going out but open at home. I can see a little but of fading with the red but the overall tattoo looks darker since it's covered with an ointment. Updated on 18 Feb 2020: Not much to mention but wanted to keep updating pictures. Most blisters are now gone and pain left after a week. Tattoo has the appearance of being burned on the surface. If I look close, I can see some of the actual laser marks inside of my heart. So far I see no difference but for a small area of red fading. I am now massaging the area daily. Updated on 29 Feb 2020: Lots of scabs coming off now. Most of the red in my heart is now pink due to new skin that was under the scabs. Most of the red is now gone. Dense black lining fading is VERY little. Not itching as much. I moisturize with Aquaphor healing ointment and massage daily.
