2nd Degree Burns from IPL

I had an IPL treatment done at Lavish Laser on both my face and chest. I’ve had IPL many times before and always had nice results. When I looked at myself in the mirror right after the technician finished I knew something had gone terribly wrong. I was left with red/purple squares all over my face and chest. The technician assured me it was normal. On my way home I was burning up so bad I went directly to my doctor. It was confirmed I had 2nd degree burns. The doctor said reputable clinics don’t even allow IPL in the summer due to the fact most people have at least a little tan. Dr. Wong who owns Lavish is trained as an optometrist/surgeon. His only remedy for my burns is for me to be treated by his staff. I can’t possibly go back to his very unprofessional facility and he refuses to reimburse me for the treatments necessary for my recovery (which I would have done at a dermatology office). This disastrous IPL session that cost $100 is now costing me thousands in repairs.
