The went for Liposuction of the Lower and Upper Abs also Flanks. I was told I was small and a perfect candidate. (138 lbs, 5’2) I received tumescent liposuction, removed 1300 cc of fat (supposedly) and now I’m bigger than before in my lower abdomen (I can’t even suck my stomach in anymore to make it flat), a huge bulge and 4 craters in my torso. I’ve received 2 massages so far and wore my stage 1 and 2 garments. I feel like a wasted money, time and now even further more ruined my body. Post-op nurse says I’m doing fine, no issues...but the issue is my stomach isn’t flat like I paid for it to be! Updated on 18 Aug 2020: I’m 14 weeks post op now and still no change in my areas that received lipo. The scars are very much noticeable and still tender when touching or stretching and they are bigger than the cannula. I regret everyday that I went to Graceful Contours. I did everything as told by the nurse (never saw the doctor) and my results are horrible. Total waste of money and time and now I look even worse! Can’t wear crop tops or swimsuits, and I still have a glob of fat I’m my lower abdomen! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL!!!
I am 5'8" and my current weight is 215. We are going on vacation in June and after having kids I've found it incredibly difficult to lose the fat around my mid-section. Two weeks ago I decided to pursue Lipo as an option. This will be a quick review because I must have the procedure done before end of this month so I can attend training at work. Last week I met with 3 different doctors to discuss my Lipo options. The first was Dr. Umerah at the Women's Health Institute in Macon, Ga. Dr. Umerah is really nice but after my consult I didn't feel comfortable enough to proceed with his practice. The consultation fee was $100 and for the consult I was basically taken upstairs to his office and told to take off my clothes and put on a robe. Mind you, this was all in front of a huge OPEN window. It was facing a parking lot, but still, I felt like the least they could've done was use an exam room. He examined me and told me he could do my abdomen and flanks for $7000, which I thought was fairly high. The next appointment was with Dr. Groves at Georgia Plastic Center in Macon, GA. His office was much more comfortable and it felt like this was something he does all the time. I liked their process but his price was $5000. Since he is a plastic surgeon this was already expected, but I knew I could get it done for less in Atlanta. Because I wanted to stay local, I decided to try one more consult in-town. The last in-town consult I did was with Dr. Asad at Warner Robins Body Sculpting and Cosmetic Center. The consult fee for him was $75 and it was the worst experience out of the 3 for me. The "Cosmetic Center" is actually just an exam room in his Pulmonology practice. That's right, he's a pulmonologist. It really felt like liposuction or anything else cosmetic is just something he does "on the side." I met with both him and his assistant and the whole experience made me feel like they were trying to sell me a car or something. On top of this he told me I would have to come back to do the procedure in 2 visits, which I did not want to do. Long story short, I did not enjoy my consult with him and his price was $4900. After reading several reviews on realself and seeing that they offer a Groupon, Graceful Contours was my first choice and I was able to get an appointment with them for today. They were really nice, professional, and prompt. I met with the nurse who took my vitals and went over the procedure with me. For my abdomen and flanks the total price was quoted as $2899. I told them my issue around needing to have it done before the end of the month and thankfully they had just had a cancellation. I told them I would take it so I put down my 20% deposit today and I am now scheduled for next Tuesday....Still trying to wrap my head around how quick this is happening but in 7 days this gut will be gone! :-) I will post before and after pics soon! Updated on 20 Apr 2018: I was able to get my abdomen and flanks done by Graceful Contours this 3 days ago and although I'm still really swollen I can def say this was well worth it. I arrived around 930, they started around 10am and I was out around 2pm. I was only awake for the last hour of the procedure so the time didn't bother me. Once the anesthesia wore off, the pain was pretty bad but that was expected. I had the work completed on Tuesday, today is Friday and I'm still in some pain but the majority of it is over. Overall, I'm happy with my results and I can't wait until the swelling goes down so I can see the final result.
