I'm so thankful that I had Dr Jumaily as my surgeon! Many surgeons in Canada didn't want to perform on me because of my thick skin and it's my second nose job. A lot of Canadian surgeons find my case to be complicated, when I know it is a very straight forward surgery in Asia. Anyhow, I'm so glad that I've found Dr Jumaily! Though his price is a bit more expensive, but it is worth every penny! It's been 3 months now since I had my revision, and I am very happy! I find Canadian surgeons have a very conservative approach, they only fix the problem but don't really make you look prettier, but Dr Jumaily just gets the assignment, he gave me a very cute, elegant nose! I seriously couldn't ask for a better nose :P During my recovery, I had a little bit of uneven swollen or scar tissue forming during my first month of recovery that made my nose looked crooked. I was really freaked out at first but Dr Jumaily gave me a steroid shot, so all is good now :) I'm glad I didn't go oversea to do this, otherwise I wouldn't have known what to do when that happened.
I had a very good experience dealing with Dr. Jumaily and I am more than happy with the results of the surgery. Perfect execution ! Talent aside, he is very respectful and operates a professional clinic. I am from Canada and had to fly in to Los Angeles for the surgery. I had to cancel our first confirmed surgery date the day before the surgery, due to travel complications. Dr. Jumaily rescheduled my surgery to a few weeks later and didn't give me a hard time about it. I found that very accommodating on his part. Surgery details below Lowered my forehead 2.4 CM which looks perfect. Any lower and it would look weird, and any higher and i would have been disappointed with the lack of reduction ! Recovery has been really easy. I went back to work a week later and no one suspected or noticed that i had just had a surgery. I lost feeling in the front half of my scalp but the feeling has returned slowly starting 4 weeks post op. I almost have full feeling back but not quite. 5 weeks post op, i was even able to sport a shaved head to take care better care of my scarr and to use rogaine with more easy access to the scalp. I have had a shaved head from week 5-7 and its barely noticeable. I thought i would never be able to shave my head or have short hair again, without looking like so sort of Frankenstein, but i was wrong ! I am writing this as of 7 weeks post op. the scar is healing well but it is still a bit red. i am looking forward to 6 months or a year post op when it turns white. I imagine it will be completely unnoticeable in any hair style. Very happy with the results. When searching for a surgeon, i had Dr. Ahanorov and Dr. Jumaily considered. I am confident i made the right decision. Updated on 2 Sep 2018: 3 Months Post Op. Healing Well. i am growing my hair our now as i don't believe i need to keep applying ointment to the scar. it has mainly turned white and unnoticeable. some areas are a still a bit red but not raised. ( the sides. )
My negative experience with Dr. Jumaily and filler placed in my tear trough Before my wedding, I met with Dr. Jumaily to have filler placed under my eyes, in the tear trough area. I was expecting a minor tweak, as I only needed a touch up. My normal doctor was away on vacation, and so impulsively I made an appointment with Dr. Jumaily when he was in Toronto, as I had a positive experience with him in the past. I had heard that he practiced in Beverly Hills, and so naively I assumed that he must be exceptional. Sadly, the results were horrible. Initially, I had thought that it could be swelling, as only my right eye appeared to be excessively full. The under eye area extending from my eye right to my tear trough was full, and it looked like a swollen and enlarged kidney bean. The eye area meeting the cheek was also overfilled. Dr. Jumaily prescribed me prednisone and furosemide (Lasix). It became clear after a course of this medication that it was not swelling, and that Dr. Jumaily had placed too much product in both eyes. When the swelling subsided the right eye area remained the same, except I could also see there was an abundance of product placed above my cheekbone. I also noted that the left eye was also enlarged from being overfilled. As the results were extremely poor, and there would be no easy resolution, I postponed my wedding. We did not want anyone to think that my partner had assaulted me! I tried to work with Dr. Jumaily to have my concerns addressed as I wanted to believe that it was a one-time error. I had to push for him to accommodate me into his schedule; he did one injection of hyaluronidase at the centre where he did surgery. He was again not available and so he arranged for a nurse to do another injection of hyaluronidase, which she did for both eyes. Sadly, I was so overfilled that I still have not had any resolution. I made an appointment with him yesterday but he was running so far behind schedule, and I had come on my lunch hour that I had to leave. Dr. Jumaily did seem apologetic, however, it did not translate into him attempting to resolve this issue. Words are nothing of not complemented by actions! Dr. Jumaily was going back to Beverly Hills for a week, and he was not able to see me prior to leaving. I spoke with Dr. Jumaily about a refund, who advised me to speak Melody, at his Beverly Hills clinic. Melody is super nice! However, before they would issue me a refund, she forwarded me a non-disclosure agreement and she tried to downplay as an agreement to protect our privacy. While I am not a wealthy person, I have integrity, and that struck me as being highly immoral that in order for me to obtain a refund I have to censor myself. I actually would have never posted anything about my experience, but when I was sent this form it had me questioning how many others he must have silenced after they had a negative result because they needed the money to be able to have a corrective procedure performed. At the end of the day, I tried to give Dr Jumaily the benefit of the doubt by trying to work with him to resolve the issue. I am sure that like many other surgeons, Dr. Jumaily and his team read these boards (and probably also inflate reviews). I am not saying that others should not go and see him, but I would say to proceed with caution, as I had a very bad result. Specifically, if you are seeing him in Toronto, please know that he may not have the time to rectify any issues since his main practice is in Beverly Hills. If Dr. Jumaily is reading this, please obtain additional training around fillers so that others are not botched like I was! I feel stressed trying to find another doctor to rectify this mess. Fingers crossed someone will be able to fix this mess. Right now, my left eye is still overfilled under the eye area and along the cheekbone and that eye looks dark in colour due to the protrusion of the filler. Update: I went to another Dr in Toronto and he flooded my undereye area with hylarunidase. As the swelling is going down it looks so much better. The doctor said just it’s hard to say what Dr Jumaily did however pitting a whole syringe into my undereye area when I already had filler and needed a touch up was excessive. To correct this mess it is going to cost me $1800. 900 plus tax for the hyaluronidase and then the money I lost with Dr Jumaily. Then I will have to pay additional money to re-inject filler. The worst is before this is all rectified it will have take around 8-10 weeks...
I paid them for a consult it went well, then they ghosted me, I never had the procedure with them, but they were very very slow to answer emails or calls and gave bad insurance advice to the point where I feel like they wasted my time for two years, clearly don't know what they are talking about when it comes to insurance, and working with their clients.
A rhinoplasty can help add more definition and refinement to the nose. If the skin is thick it may limit how 'slim' it gets but there is definitely some room for improvement.
