I requested for free consultations through Real Self to discuss hair loss treatment. All appointments with other doctors and clinics went well, except for this one they responded via email that they do not offer free consultations (not consistent with what they were advertising here). When I decided not to proceed, the staff responded and said as long as I have insurance, no matter what kind of coverage, the consultation would be free. So I provided them with my personal information and scheduled the appointment. Their schedule is a mess. It was scheduled as an in person appointment at first but the staff later told me they couldn’t do in person appointment in late afternoon so I changed to virtual. But closer to the date I got a text message asking me to confirm for an in person appointment (???). On the day, the doctor was late for 40min for my appointment. I didn’t even know if it was canceled and had to email and ask! The consultation was short and wasn’t even informational. And it’s not the worst part yet!! After the appointment, they started harassing me for months by sending text messages and making endless spam calls asking me to pay for the supposedly free consultation! And they even threatened to report me to the credit bureau for the $90. I’ve never experienced anything more ridiculous than this! I ended up mail a check back because I don’t even want to speak to any of them again. I just want to share my experience here so that other potential patients don’t have to go through the same thing!
