Motivations: I recently posted about my CO2 laser experience done a few months ago and, as promised, I'd share my PRP experience with you. I've been struggling with acne since I was in middle school, I am 25 now. Although my acne is now under control, it left behind the most embarrassing, self-esteem blowing, acne scars. I tried creams, scar gels, vitamins, silicone based makeup primers and no matter what I did or how much makeup I put on, my skin looked terrible. I had another successful treatment at Cloud 9 Medi Spa in Redlands, CA. I'm telling you guys, it's a hidden gem. They offer free consultations so I made an appointment to inquire what would be a treatment that I'd get the best results with. I knew that any treatment I did I'd need more than one, my expectations were realistic considering how pock marked my skin was. The results from the CO2 laser were pretty stellar, but since I had deep scarring, I knew I had a few more treatments to go to be where I was comfortable in my skin. Find my CO2 laser post to see before/afters! Now let's talk about the PRP microneedle and injection treatment. I was numbed up with numbing cream so I didn't really experience any pain, except a little more sensitivity on my forehead. The nurse drew my blood, placed it in the centrifuge, and voila! Liquid gold! After she microneedled with the PRP, my face felt tight, like the PRP was already tightening my skin! Weird I know, but I'm just sharing my experience. Then she injected my deeper acne scars with PRP. It's filled in my scars immediately but only because the PRP needed time to be utilized by my skin. Typically PRP injection results aren't immediate because they're not a filler, but rather they signal your own skin to stimulate collagen and generate new tissue to fill in the area, which takes at least a month. I was red for a few hours after treatment and then pink for 2-ish days. Not long at all! This treatment was so easy and I'm pleased with my results. Please don't hesitate to message me, I'm happy to answer any questions about my experience!
