I trained as a General Surgeon and then an Interventional Cardiologist before moving to the US where I had to repeat residency in Internal Medicine. The problems of managed care convinced me to get a fellowship in Plastic Surgery and I opened Ciao Bella Cosmetic surgery in 2007

Dr. Roberto Gonzalez is a board-certified plastic surgeon with over 15 years of experience, practicing at Ciao Bella Cosmetic Surgery and Vein Clinic in Chandler, Arizona. His primary areas of expertise include breast augmentation, tummy tucks, and liposuction, as well as customized mommy makeovers. He also offers Brazilian butt lifts, eyelid surgery, and surgical body contouring, including arm lifts, thigh lifts, and gynecomastia surgery (male breast reduction). In addition to cosmetic surgery, he has performed complex reconstructions for orthopedic and facial trauma and helped doctors in other specialties with their patients who have wound complications. Born in Tampico, Mexico, Dr. Gonzalez realized his interest in medicine while studying in the United States and shadowing his uncle, Dr. Jose Luis Cruzzavala, a cardiac surgeon at West Virginia University. Upon returning to Mexico, Dr. Gonzalez received his medical degree from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education. He later returned to West Virginia University as a research fellow in plastic surgery, becoming deeply involved in research and helping publish multiple papers. Dr. Gonzalez continued his training in general surgery before completing his plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. Dr. Gonzalez is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

With a focus on optimal balance of results and safety, Dr. Desvigne performs in-office cosmetic surgical procedures such as face and neck lifts under local anesthesia to avoid the risks associated with general anesthesia. Since cosmetic surgery is elective, it should be performed with minimal risk.
