I came here for a Halo and BBL treatment. I was severely burned and I am still living with the terrible consequences 18 months later. I understand a superficial burn is part of the treatment but this was a horrible burn way beyond normal. Pam burned my face. It was operator error. I first had numbing creme bit it was too hot. Dr Rubach then gave me a nerve block in my face. It was still too hot. Instead of stopping Pam called in another employee to hold a cooling fan on my face to "get through the treatment". It should have been stopped!! I suffered a horrific burn and did not have normal healing. Within 12 hours my face was oozing and weeping fluid. I followed every aftercare direction exactly as given to me by Pam and Dr Rubach and only used what was given to me by them in the aftercare bag. I have been having a very hard time emotionally from the damage done to my face by them. Dr Rubach told Pam to have me rinse w a .25 vinegar to water solution. More incompetence on Pam behalf. She wrote down on a piece of paper she gave to me with a way stronger solution. She didn't under the math and told me to rinse with 3/4 cup vinegar to 1 cup water. Because of her error I basically put 100 percent vinegar on my very badly burned face! It caused so much more pain! I am still having such a hard time that it is hard to relive it all. I am now left with scared skin all over my face. My face is a completely different color than before the laser. It is a purple, Brown, red color. It gave me terrible orange peel texture and Hugh open pores all over my face. It destroyed the collagen and elasticity in my skin and my facial skin now just hangs. This has been so hard emotionally. I don't recognize myself when I look in the mirror. I also have an area of scarring that is now while in color which I have been told is a full thickness burn. I have to send thousands of dollars to try to improve the damage but my face will never be the same. Dr Rubach takes zero responsibility for what was done to me. How can someone who is a Doctor be ok doing this to someone and then taking no responsibility? It's disgusting. I'm too emotionally exhausted to add photos. Please just view my profile photos are there. It has not improved in 18 months. I also feel so bad about how this has affected my children and husband. They have had to pick me up from the floor more times then I care to admit. I have been treated terribly from the office and have been completely disregarded. My name is Holly P and they can not respond to this that they don't know who this is
I have wanted to do something about my dark circles under my eye for many years. The older I get the worse it looks. Then my eye lids started drooping more and more. I knew that eventually the drooping lids would effect my vision as my mom has this problem. My husband passed away almost 3 years ago,and I decided it was time to fix myself up and start living again. I went to see doctor Rubach at the center for cosmetic & laser surgery. I immediately felt at ease as I spoke with doctor Rubach. He gave me a honest assessment of my concerns about my areas of concern. I had gone in with thinking I wanted something done with my neck but after speaking with the doctor, I decided to just concentrate on my eyes for now. Doctor Rubach was very patient with me and went over all of my concerns and how he would correct my saggy eye lids and dark under eye circles. He told me exactly what he would do and what I could expect as far as the surgery and recovery. I will be having both upper and lower eyelid surgery on July 11. I fell so confident in my doctors ability that I do not feel nervous, although as the surgery date gets closer my feeling may change a bit. My only real concern is that I will have to make my mother drive me to and from my appointment and to watch over me for the first night. She has trouble getting around and my 7:00am surgery check in is really early for her. I'll try to post up a before photo, for the record. Updated on 24 Oct 2017: Saw my before and after photos last week, and what a lovely rejuvenation of my eye area. No more drooping eye lids and I am plumper under my eyes now. I think the procedure was worth the healing process. I have very sensitive skin around my eyes so it took me a bit longer than most patients to heal. The doctor and staff have been very sensitive and caring throughout the healing process. I am so happy with the results that I had a syringe of filler placed around my "marionette " mouth lines. Instantly looked much better! Already booked a appointment for a Kybella treatment for my double chin area. I highly recommend Doctor Rubuch and the entire staff at Cosmetic & Laser surgery! Very pleased with my results.
