Dr. Buinewicz is originally board certified in Family Medicine with over 25 years of medical experience. Her approach to her cosmetic patients is to assess their entire health and wellness. Dr. Annie B. performs all non surgical procedures including skin care, dermal fillers, Botox, laser treatments, skin tightening treatments and non surgical body contouring .

He is triple Board Certified and is the Emeritus Chief of Plastic Surgery at Abington Memorial Hospital- Jefferson Health. He in addition has teaching professorships at both Jefferson Hospital and Temple University in the Division of Plastic Surgery. D.r. Buinewicz is a leader in the field of research with regard to Breast Implant Illness and has authored and presented multiple papers with regard to this illness. A: Nerves are very sensitive to trauma, ad take months or even years to recover. $ years after surgery I would not expect any more changes with the issues you are having. Explant with or without capsulectomy can certainly cause changes in sensation - a capsulectomy is more risky because of the extra tissue manipulation/trauma to remove all the capsule. It is uncommon in my experience that sensation gets worse (but it could) and in a few cases sensation did improve (probably from stretch/traction on the nerves that were relieved with implant removal, but still unpredictable).

A: Botox typically start working within 24-48 hours. Full results are acquired at 2 weeks. If you still see movement at 2 weeks you should make a follow up appointment with your Plastic Surgeon.
A: Patients see full results from the Botox injections at a 2 week period of time. Typically patients start to see changes within 24 to 48 hours however. Patients have been getting Botox injections for years with no long term issues. The recommendation is to make an appointment with your Plastic Surgeon for an assessment of short and long term goals.
A: Dermal Fillers may result in lip lumps but should be rare. Massaging the area may resolve the lumpiness . After vigorous massaging a physician may inject Hyaluronidase to soften the area . The Hyaluronidase should resolve the issue.
A: The best recommendation would be to have a consultation to determine the best treatment. Botox can temporarily improve the symmetry. Dermal fillers can also be a treatment option. These are not permanent correction options for you.
