I had my breast implants removed with a lift Dr Buinewicz by on Friday, February 13th, 2025, and it was the best decision I could have made for my health. Surgery went well and I experienced very little pain. I made sure I followed the postoperative instructions were by word. I am currently four months post-op, and I can confidently say that he changed my life.

I am 59 years old, 5'6, 130 lbs, with an athletic build. I stay in great shape, exercise and have practiced healthy eating habits for years. About five years ago, I started getting sick all the time. I suffered from multiple upper respiratory infections, chronic sinus infections, dry/itchy eyes, and developed rashes. Over the past 2 1/2 years, the fatigue was extreme. I missed a lot of work and family gatherings and I even lost 10 pounds (though I have since gained it back).
I saw an autoimmune specialist, an allergy specialist, an ENT, hematologist, rheumatologist, dermatologist, and finally an oncologist. After completing every blood and diagnostic test you could order, plus two bone marrow biopsies, none of the specialists could figure out what was going on, except for finding an increasingly low WBC and neutropenia. Frustrating!!!!!!!
I began to think I was crazy, and it felt like my family, friends, and doctors thought I was making it up. I became stressed and depressed. One day, I saw an actress on TV discussing her journey with Breast Implant Illness (BII). I had all the same symptoms. I began researching and reviewing blogs and Facebook groups, reading about women dealing with BII. A lot of physicians do not believe in it, but I KNOW ITS REAL BECAUSE I LIVED IT!!!!!!!!
—Finding the Right Surgeon:
After having two other consultations, I finally traveled almost 2 hours to meet Dr Buinewicz. I immediately knew he was the surgeon for me. He has extensive experience with BII, along with an absolutely wonderful bedside manner, and empathic staff.
—RECOVERY
My recovery has been incredibly smooth. The evening after my surgery I received a post-op call directly from Dr Buinewicz and I spoke to him every day for about a week until my 1st follow-up. Next vist was video since I live far away, and we recently completed my four-month post-op check-up, and I thanked him for saving my life. Adolescence

I started feeling healthy almost immediately—within just two weeks postoperatively. The chronic fatigue lifted, and my overall well-being returned. I look and feel great. If anyone is contemplating having an explant, I strongly advise you to do your research. If possible, you should definitely have a consultation with Dr Buinewicz. Sharing my story validates other women, and I hope this review helps someone else find the answers they have been looking for.
