Had a good amount of moles laser removed by Dr. Meathrel. The entire process was great. Very thorough and professional. Highly recommend. Had a consult, all options were explained in detail and what I could expect from the procedure. A few weeks later the procedure was done. Price was very reasonable - overall very satisfied.
My concern was I did not want it to look as if I had surgery. Dr. Kim Meatherel said that I would look normal, just rested and improved. Upon healing friends have said to me, did you get new glasses? You look rested? No one has said did you have surgery? Interesting.
After receiving an appointment booking call from Bespoke regarding my doctor referred procedure, I asked and confirmed that this procedure would indeed be covered by ohip. ON THE DAY of the booked procedure I received a call from Bespoke indicating that it would not be covered and would cost $600+ . NOT COOL! When asked if they would honour their initial statement, they said NO. This makes me question the integrity of this business.
An in person consult is always best. I always ask by patients how much correction will make them happy and what are they willing to go through to get there?Based on your photos, likely the most correction for you will be achieved through a surgical arm lift - however this has downtime, incisions/scars. Often the scars from a surgical arm lift can be quite visible depending on your personal clothing style and activities. If you want to avoid scars and prolonged downtime then I would recommend Accutite (personally I would use the Bodytite handpiece not the Accutite handpiece on the upper arms) followed immediately with Morpheus Body (not the Morpheus 8 handpiece) and then potentially a second Morpheus Body treatment in 6 weeks. This will avoid the scars and downtime of a surgical lift and give you the best nonsurgical results possible.
Botulinum toxin can be injected for both cosmetic and therapeutic reasons and has been done so for several decades. I think you are asking why it is safe to inject a toxin. The answer is in the formulation and dosage. Botox is one of the most studied medications and the safe dosing range has been determined to have localized effects of blocking muscle movement without systemic effects. There always remains a low risk of systemic side effects from these injections and it is important to have a full consultation with your injecting physician, discuss your medical history, and preexisting conditions that may impact the side effect profile.
When Botox is injected for Rosacea it is injected very superficially into the skin using the Aquagold microinfusion device. Because it is so superficial it should not impact on the muscles of your face. It will only last 3-4months. I personally use Botox in the Aquagold for Rosacea but there are other options available to you.
