I have had half a dozen surgeries with Dr. Villares. I have known him for more than two years. When my brother decided a few months ago that he was interested in facial surgery, he wanted to see Dr. Villares because he knew he was the best. Though I insisted he see another surgeon first for comparison purposes, of course, my brother selected Dr. Villares. I was present for the consult. It was brilliant as all his work always is.
For me he has performed liposuction with outstanding results, which was the first procedure in anticipation of the eventual tummy tuck I would have.
The next surgery was brachioplasties--"bat wings" or "arm lifts"--call them what you like. As I had lost more than 120 pounds by then, it looked like I had someone's flabby thighs stuck where arms should be. Though it was outstanding work, my perfectionist surgeon insisted even the day he did that surgery that he'd want to redo it and make it better. He said at no charge, and as always, was as good as his word. I have excellent looking arms today and easily fit into any off-the-rack item. I swim regularly and am not embarrassed to have my entire arms viewed by many because it's just outstanding work!
He also performed a tummy tuck in the hospital. The poor tech thought her vital signs machine was malfunctioning as my pre-op vitals were outstanding: no hint of anxiety at all because as I explained to her the result was a foregone conclusion: flawless surgery with great results and that is EXACTLY what the outcome was.
There was a mons surgery because my tuck was performed under insurance and they would have wanted that charged to me. Dr. Villares is THE most considerate surgeon out there. He is incredibly affordable and takes issues such as that into consideration. IF I were wealthy and wanted it all done in one surgery, he would have done that for me. Knowing funds were tight, he simply performed the mons surgery later in his OR suite. (BTW, it is an excellent OR as good as one in a hospital. I do have medical experience and he skimps on nothing; there is no "corner cutting" in anything he does. From supplies to staff, you are getting top quality.)
I will also note that HE is world-class. Besides the fact he did his residency at the coveted Mayo Clinic in MN, and a fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in FL, his results speak for themselves. As a Board-certified surgeon, if he performs that surgery, you are not going to find a better surgeon. He would refer a patient out rather than do something outside of his experience. He also talks patients out of procedures he feels are not necessary. He talked my brother out of work on his forehead. He added two procedures to the blepharoplasties ("eye jobs" as some call them, upper and lower lids and the bags under the eyes were included)--CO2 laser work and a tightening at the cheekbones and still was half the price of another reasonably priced surgeon. The results are fabulous. Even medical providers can't really spot this as the result of surgical work.
My other surgery, also done in hospital, was a pilonidal cystectomy, which involves removal of a cyst in the tailbone area. I had that done as a teen and a nurse damaged the surgeon's work (ripped my sutures). Dr. Villares took care of the significant scar tissue and additional damage and cyst and vastly improved the area. It healed beautifully though I was decades older than when I had my first one in high school.
I have had seven other surgeons (not the healthiest person on the planet) and he is hands down the best.
Besides being brilliantly talented, he is compassionate and an outstanding man. When he gives his word, you can rely on it 100%.
His first procedure on me was an A+. Every time he performs surgery he does something else unexpected and yet better (different suture material; different location of an incision, etc.).
He continuously strives to improve his work yet is incredibly affordable.
He is fluent in Spanish; offers free consults; and does help people lose weight in a variety of fashions from dietary advice to medications to surgery. (I should have met him years before! I had lost the weight on my own before finding him.) He also does cosmetic procedures such as Botox and fillers. His surgeries include breast augmentation, "mommy makeovers," Brazilian butt lifts, now face lifts, and more.
Too bad some Hollywood celebs have not discovered him--the media attention to their surgeries would have been positive instead of making a "oops, what happened here?" list. Then again, maybe no, because unlike many, his taste level and work are so excellent you don't look like you were "done," you just look and feel a lot better.
