In summary I am glad that I had my Buccal ft removal BUT the recovery is a lot harder than I expected. The pain after the surgery was ok. I didn’t take any pain killer . And I took a medicine that help with my swelling for the first 5 days (unfortunately, I forgot to take a pic of that ) And I had swollen face for the first 3 days . It is definitely visible as I went back to work on the third days and all my colleague asked what had happened to my face. I told them the truth :) I had biodegradable stitches . It started to degrade after 2 weeks . I was on liquid diet for 2 weeks and no excessive for 2 weeks . I have my face wrapped for a week to reduce the swelling . On the third week I started eating but it wasn’t comfortable because I have bumpy mucosa at the incision areas. I really do not like the the bumps . Updated on 22 May 2019: I still have bumpy mucosa on my incision . Dr. Told me that this is normal and it will subside after 3 months . The thing that really annoy me is That i have two “white ulcer” only right cheek (see picture). I notice that when I chew more the “white-ulcer” get bigger . Because of that I hardly feel like eating . The good thing is that I notice that I have a “dimple” on my left cheek. Dr. Told me that he had to take longer time to take out by ft on my right side. Hence , the “dimple” will show late. I guess I just have to be patient . Updated on 24 May 2019: Does anyone one of u have similar New “white ulcer” at the incision site? This really bothers and I am a bit worry about it :I Updated on 7 Jun 2019: I can still feel the lump but it is very minor . As for the outside, I can see minor changes on my left cheek , which I have a dimple now. As for the left side I don’t seeing different . Anyway, I have no regrets doing this. The recovery is harder than I expected due to the lumpy incisions. Updated on 29 Jul 2019: I still can feel bumpy mucosa on my incision side . I can tell it is getting smaller but up to this point I am not sure if they will go down further . I might need steroid injection to reduce the scar tissue . The changes was not profound but I know there is a fine line , if too much fat is removed . My face all look saggy. So I will prefer this way.
I have a width fat nose which I hate it so much. Getting an alarplasty was my first plastic surgery . Pro: 1.Fast recovery - I didn’t take any pain killer and the I felt fine . My nose was slightly swollen for the first few days . No bandage and split . Very little dry blood. 2. biodegradable stitches . The stitches started to drop after a week. My surgeon told me to rub the incision slightly while I was washing my face otherwise it will take forever for the stitches to drop. 3. Fast surgery 4. You will be able to go to work after few days . To be honest I even started skipping after 2 days !! (Of course I was suppose to rest for a week). Cons : 1. The difference is very minor . But I am ok with it. 2. “Tight” feeling around the incision for more than a month. After 3 months , I felt normal again. 3. There is “mark” on the induction area after healing ( not visible unless you bite your lips and look very closely ; to be honest no body will look at you your nose like that). 4. Uneven nostrils (see pictures) (only noticeable when u look at your nose from the bottom; again nobody is going to look t your nose like that) Updated on 22 May 2019: I can tell the different . However I think the alar plasty alone doesn’t give me the result that I want . I am considering getting a tip plasty . The nostril is slightly uneven . But I am ok with that .
I did the Triple Suture Technique double eyelid surgery with Dr Samuel Ho. It was badly done. The eyelid was too low. The doctor always seems so busy and doesnt really remember his patient. During consultation and pre-surgery consultation, we have confirm to go with a medium height crease but it turn out to be a low crease. Back for review, he even thought that what i wanted was a low crease. Wasted my money.
I find the surgeon not very patience & details rather brief in his explanation & rushing through my queries to move on to the next patient. For a short 10 consultation for $170 is not really worth it as I left the clinic with loose information. When I raise my concern n queries on the procedures to the counter staff, she is not able to advice me clearly only sharing doctor said you have to consider yourself cannot guarantee in the results n procedures. I would be grateful if the surgeon can share more on the followings rather than asking me to decide and no guarantee etc.. 1) where I am asking droopy eyelid correction and the new eyelid crease goal reasonable? 2) will I have scaring after the surgery? 3) if I proceed with 1 eyelid, will the crease be even? 4) what are the risk n possible complications? 5) What will my recovery stage like? 6) Which procedure will be best to enhance the results of my procedure. 7) Lastly, for the various options shared what are the best options to achieve an even natural crease and how confident is the surgeon that the outcome can meet my expectations.
