Megan was so great! I was extremely nervous and she did everything to put me at ease! She listened to my favorite music with me, made me a paper towel eye mask and took all the time I needed to relax! She made sure I was doing okay throughout my entire procedure and I literally felt nothing! I’m so glad I found her and am actually excited to go back for my next two procedures! I’ll never get worked up and nervous again. She made everything so easy and painless! Thank you Megan! The guy who prepped me and did my bandages was great as well! Thanks everyone!!
Sadly cannot recommend this practice I was a patient for more than two years, started when I was hospitalized with a serious skin infection. I initially saw the medical side and while some PAs were kind of so-so a couple were particularly good. Then because of psoriasis, I decided to get laser treatment because in the past in other areas where I had psoriasis AND hair, when I removed hair it was easier to control or eliminate the psoriasis. I believed as the aesthetic side was connected to a medical practice I would get high quality care. Sadly, things went downhill. So with my 7 visits to the aesthetic side and repeated attempts to get the management of the practice to stand by its promises, I have to tell people to AVOID this practice. Things were not perfect on the medical side. A very clear example: I went in for suture removal from an excision on my leg. Not all sutures were removed. I had healing issues and even though my eyesight is poor finally realized that part of the problem was a month after most of the sutures had been removed, one had not, and it was not good news for me causing infection, pain, and the need for antibiotic treatment. This was in the one of five excisions. In this case, the dressing change by staff had not been good either. I called and said I needed to have the remaining suture removed. Upon arrival the med assistant's greeting was: "It took you a month to figure out there was a suture there?" She came over, looked, took a tweezers, yanked the suture out and said: "There, that was all that needed to be done. Just pull it." I think that all speaks for itself. The aesthetic side is more complicated and involves being shall we say "misled" about the amount of help with shaving techs would provide if needed. It was NOT my misunderstanding as two PAs had the exact same understanding that I did. Very long and involved story short, I appealed to a PA about the sorry state of the laser treatments I was receiving and she said she was sure that the management cared and to email my concerns. I did to the email she provided. I basically got an acknowledgement and had to reply and reply and reply to finally get that person to say they were forwarding a request for reimbursement of the laser treatment package based on unsatisfactory results. What I got back from the Supervisor there, however, was not the expected refund but basically a claim that the PAs were clearing me for the laser when the tech could see a problem. Excuse me? In one hour (time between med clearance and laser treatment) there was suddenly an issue? So basically what she falsely claimed was that the PAs were incompetent! I pointed that out to her and she said that no, both sides were good. Then she falsely claimed poor results were because areas had been skipped. Excuse me, my body, one time one spot was skipped and that was not the area in question. So there was back and forth with her story changing just to NOT take care of the problem. That was revolting but I am OFFENDED that the PAs were thrown under the bus like that. When you have terribly unprofessional behaviour like that it explains why other unprofessional things happen (the lack of quality I received in the laser treatments; the lippy medical assistant; some other issues). I have had to ask my PCP to refer me to another practice because this one has proven to be untrustworthy. Management has clearly lied to the PAs. The aesthetic side is not professional (there is more to the story than poor results or offensive claims against the PAs). There is no interest IN quality control or standing behind services. Given the length of time I spent trying to get them to do the right thing and number of emails I exchanged, this is a very fair and accurate summary. People would be well advised to think what someone with two plus YEARS of experience is cautioning them about. If it comes down to a serious problem, this business will NOT stand behind its work AND at least some of the management will throw the overworked PAs under the bus. What else are they willing to do? I won't be sticking around to find out.
