This patient is a 42 year old female who consulted with Dr. Greenberg complaining of the excess skin of her abdomen. This patient had had a prior abdominoplasty performed by another surgeon many years ago and had also subsequently had more children. She was concerned with the poor scarring from her previous tummy tuck, wished for better abdominal contour and for treatment of her stretch marks. After a thorough conversation, she elected to have a revision abdominoplasty where Dr. Greenberg addressed the poor scarring, redundant skin of her abdomen, and abdominal wall laxity from her pregnancies. As you can see from her 5 month post-operative photo, she has achieved significantly better abdominal contour and great improvement of her tummy tuck scar and stretch marks.

REVISION tummy tuck. This patient was unhappy with the results of her tummy tuck by another surgeon. For her revision I lowered her scar so that it could be hidden in underwear. I removed more skin and fat, I re-tightened her abdominal muscles using a 3 vector corset plication technique to cinch in her waist. I then used VASER ultrasound liposuction. to etch out her abdominal muscles and carve our her waist to give her an hourglass shape.

	41 year-old-female who had a previous mini-abdominoplasty who is a self-proclaimed &ldquo;perfectionist&rdquo; and desires to treat excess skin that bundles above her belly-button and along the her tummy. She would like to look a bit &ldquo;tighter&rdquo; and curvier. Procedure: Abdominoplasty with vaser liposuction of the abdomen. Belly button was &ldquo;floated&rdquo; inferiorly to minimize the abdominoplasty scar.

A mother of 1 in her early 50s who had a miniabdominplasty elsewhere in 2008 but was still bothered by the rolls of her abdomen. She would like to be able to wear pants with a belt. She is shown before and again, 10  months after an extended abominoplasty. Often patients come in and ask for a mini abdominplasty- they want the minimum of surgery but still want a maximum result. I find that it is better to find out what is bothering a patient, make the diagnosis and then come up with the best procedure to treat the diagnosis. As in this case, she asked her first plastic surgeon for a mini abdominplasty, but her treatment plan was incorrect. In fact she really needed an extended abominoplasty to contour the sides better.
