32 Year Old Female with Labial Hypertrophy

This patient was bothered by the extension of the labia up above and lateral to her clitoral hood and requested it be reduced. The labia minora spread her labia majora apart and are visible to her when standing. The patient requested a significant reduction of the labia minora but still wanted to have some visibility of them. Ink marking were made on the labia minor including the Y-shaped extension up the sides of the clitoral hood to debulk the area as requested by the patient. A hand mirror was used to that the patient could verify the markings. The left side was trimmed along the Y-shaped excision. Similar procedure was performed on the right side. Cauterization was performed followed by a running Chromic closure.
