Tummy Tuck or Abdominoplasty

After childbirth, this patient was unhappy with the loose skin and laxity of the abdominal muscles. She underwent an abdominoplasty as an outpatient. No drain tubes are required and patients can shower the day after surgery. Activity must be limited in the beginning, but most patients are able to resume vigorous exercise 6 weeks after surgery. For patients who work in a non strenuous job, 2 weeks are usually adequate before returning to work
