I did a REVISION:  removed excess skin and lowered her scar, re-plicated her abdominal muscles, did VASER ultrasound liposuction of her abdomen, flanks to sculpt her waist. Our patient is a 36-year-old Hispanic female who came to Dr. Timothy Katzen with pain and discomfort after foreign body injections were placed in the buttocks by another surgeon. She also believed the product had migrated to the left leg, a phenomenon that can occur when injected material spreads through tissue planes and forms inflamed, firm pockets that feel tender and tight. Dr. Katzen recommended an open silicone injection removal with a posterior butt lift to directly remove the affected tissue and rebuild a smoother, safer contour. Under general anesthesia, he made a carefully planned posterior incision to access the involved layers, then identified the injected material and surrounding inflamed tissue that was contributing to symptoms.
