Carolyn was 55 years old when she presented to Dr. Boggess with concerns related to aging of the face and neck. She had noticed these slowly progressive changes for at least 1 year before she decided to seek help. Her primary concern was sagging in the neck and jowls. However, she had also noticed brown spots and fine wrinkles developing on the face and deepening of the nasolabial folds and marionette lines. She had been a sun worshipper all of her life and loved being outdoors. Although she was retired, she still wanted to look her best.At the time of her consultation, she was noted to have mild jowling, moderate neck laxity with platysmal bands, and moderate sun-damaged skin with brown spots and fine wrinkles. She underwent a face/neck lift and laser skin resurfacing. Postoperative photos demonstrate a marked improvement in her neck and jawline, softening of her nasolabial folds and marionette lines, and improvement in her skin texture and pigmentation.
