This 42 year-old gentleman was referred to Dr. Tholen for evaluation of his abdomen, hips, and buttocks. He had lost weight from 250 lbs. to 220 lbs. and was hoping liposuction was the answer for his saggy "old man butt" and loose skin. However, his problem was not one requiring liposuction or fat grafting for buttock enhancement, but rather removal and tightening of the loose sagging skin all the way around his abdomen, hips, and buttocks. He underwent buttock lifting (no buttock implants or fat grafting), along with circumferential beltlift plus abdominoplasty in our office surgical facility. He had 10.0 lbs. of skin removed in a 5 and 1/2 hour operation, and left for his home alert and comfortable after an hour and a half in our recovery room. He returned for recheck the next day, and took a 9-day vacation with his wife 3 weeks after surgery. After photo is 3 ½ months post-op.
