Every month, we strive to bring you a balanced mix of breaking news (for instance, an exclusive interview with Real Housewives of New Jersey newcomer Jennifer Fessler about her recent facelift, neck lift, and rhinoplasty) and advice you can always use, like why exosome therapy is the hottest new anti-aging treatment. Invariably though, there’s an intriguing headline or viral post that doesn’t make its own stand-alone story yet is still worthy of a share.
Which brings us here, to the latest installment of This Month in Aesthetics, an ICYMI recap of industry-molding moments that we’d be remiss not to acknowledge—from the $12,000 plastic surgery coupon in the Oscars gift bag to the latest celebs to get breast reduction surgery.
Christina Aguilera is the newest Xeomin ambassador
Following in the footsteps of Joe Jonas, Christina Aguilera is the newest ambassador for the injectable neurotoxin Xeomin. In an interview with Allure, the singer said, “I think it’s great to share and to be honest and open about what you’re doing … I’ve always been a pretty open book about embracing my body, my looks, and things like that.” And although she never once mentioned the words Xeomin, injectables, or plastic surgery, nor did she share where exactly she gets Xeomin, she did say that she believes in everyone doing what’s right for them. “I don’t believe in judgment, where that’s concerned, whatsoever.” One beauty-related specific she copped to: loving Cetaphil.
Hayden Panettiere reveals that she got a breast reduction last year
In the April 2023 issue of Women’s Health, actress Hayden Panettiere opened up about the breast reduction she got this past November, nearly eight years after the birth of her daughter. “My body still didn’t feel like it belonged to me,” she told the outlet. “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with somebody who wants to tweak something if it makes them feel more confident. That’s all I have to say about it. My confidence is back.” (If you’re considering the procedure, check out what to expect during recovery—and how to avoid breast reduction regret.)
Blac Chyna reverses multiple cosmetic procedures
In a series of video posts on her Instagram, model Blac Chyna took fans on her “life-changing” journey to get breast reduction, dissolve her facial filler, and remove the silicone she had injected into her butt at 19 years old. “I just want all the ladies out there to know—do not get silicone shots, because you can get sick, you can die, have complications, and all this other crazy stuff,” she explained, echoing Cardi B’s recent warning. “I want this out of my ass so I can grow.”
The Oscars gift bag included arm liposuction
In yet another example of “Life’s not fair,” the elite of Hollywood walked away from the Oscars with a gift bag worth $125,000—including a $12,000 voucher for arm liposuction from Dr. Thomas Su, a Tampa, Florida–based physician, and $10,000 toward facial rejuvenation procedures (yes, it can even be applied toward a facelift) from Dr. Konstantin Vasyukevich, a New York City board-certified plastic surgeon. While there’s no telling how many celebs actually cash in on free plastic surgery offers, it’s a good reminder for us regular folk that it often takes a lot more than working out and drinking water to get the body of an A-list star. (Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel put it best when he joked, “Everybody looks so great. When I look around this room, I can’t help but wonder, ‘Is Ozempic right for me?’”)
The Internet expresses shock over Liam Payne’s new appearance
After Liam Payne’s recent appearance on the red carpet at the premiere of All of Those Voices, a documentary about his former One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson, fans couldn’t help but speculate that he’d done something to his face. Both social media users and doctors have suggested that buccal fat removal and fillers might be responsible for the singer’s ultra-chiseled, hypermasculine jawline, but Payne has yet to comment.
@laurenisgossip He did a Kardashian classic! Do you think Liam Payne had buccal fat removal? Lmk!

Melissa Gorga claims Teresa Giudice got forehead-lengthening surgery
The battle between the sisters-in-law wages on. On a recent RHONJ: After Show episode, Gorga said, “Everybody gets a little tune-up after the first time [they watch themselves on TV]. Teresa did her forehead. She went back a little further [with her hairline]. Everybody does something.” And while Giudice has been open about many of her plastic surgeries—including a rhinoplasty and breast augmentation—she hasn’t publicly discussed forehead surgery. We don’t put any cosmetic procedure past the Housewives (and we applaud their willingness to be so honest about the work they do get), but given how much bad blood there is between these two women season after season, we’re taking the claim with a grain of salt.
Doja Cat is recovering from liposuction and breast reduction
On March 20, the singer tweeted that she was four days into the healing process after lipo (“my thighs hurt a lot if I move too much”) and a breast reduction that puts her at a size 32C (“got my titties done”). When a fan asked how long her recovery would take, she responded, “probably 3 months total.”
