Real Housewives of Miami Star Lisa Hochstein Reveals Her New Teeth

Lisa Hochsein after porcelain veneers

The Real Housewives (of any city) certainly aren’t shy about sharing their various cosmetic procedures on social media, no matter whether they’re having work done on their face, body, or both. Add teeth to that list too. Real Housewives of Miami star Lisa Hochstein was all smiles when she took to Instagram to show off her brand-new veneers, courtesy of Dr. Michael Apa, DDS, a cosmetic dentist with offices in New York City, Los Angeles, and Dubai. (Dr. Apa is no stranger to working with the Housewives; he gave RHONY’s Ramona Singer a complete smile makeover last year.) “I flew all the way to New York to see @doctorapa @apa.aesthetic for my new improved smile. I wanted to address the color, texture, shape and shifting of my previous veneers and I could not be happier with the results! Thank you @doctorapa ❤️,” Hochstein captioned a smiling photo of herself on Instagram.

Dr. Apa restored 24 of her teeth using porcelain veneers, replacing her existing ones. It’s totally normal for teeth to shift over time, and when they do, the veneers shift with them because they are bonded to the natural tooth structure, he explains to RealSelf. Lisa’s teeth probably shifted because of her bite or stress and clenching that put pressure on the teeth and caused them to move, he says. It bears mentioning that veneers are never permanent; according to Dr. Apa, they should be replaced every 15 to 20 years.

Hochstein also asked for veneers that are extremely white—as evidenced by the blinding smile she displayed on social media. Dr. Apa says color choice is subjective: “‘Natural’ means something different to everyone. Skin tone, lip dynamics, and overall display of teeth all play a role in deciding the final color,” he says, adding that his goal is always to create something custom that best suits each patient.

It seems that he hit the nail on the head for Hochstein. “And now I can’t stop smiling,” she captioned an Instagram story of herself grinning widely while on a ski trip in Aspen. “Absolutely love my new and improved smile @doctorapa.”
