15 Concealers Almost As Good As Under-Eye Filler

From hyaluronic acid–based formulas to crease-resistant creams, these concealers will diguise even the darkest under-eye circles.

You’re probably not wearing a ton of makeup these days. With coronavirus keeping us indoors and away from our jobs and social lives, it may seem a little excessive to apply a full face of makeup. However, I, for one, still have quite a few Zoom meetings lined up during these work-from-home days—and if there’s one makeup product I’m still putting on each day before virtually seeing my coworkers, it’s under-eye concealer.

If you want to look a little more lively via video chat (or even just want to cover up tired eyes from late-night Netflix bingeing during quarantine), a good under-eye concealer is key, especially if getting in-office procedures is on pause right now. But since in-person testing has come to an indefinite end with store closures, it can be tough to find one that works for you. So we rounded up the best under-eye concealers on the market that you can have delivered right to your doorstep. From hyaluronic acid–based formulas to crease-resistant creams, these concealers will keep you looking bright-eyed all day long—no matter how dark your circles may be.

Pat McGrath Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Concealer ($32)

The Mother of Makeup has done it again: she’s created another cult-favorite beauty product. Available in 36 highly pigmented shades, this concealer—the first by the brand—gives a full-coverage, matte, seamless look after every use. It uses the brand’s original vita-serum complex (which activates the skin’s natural production of hyaluronic acid) so skin is left feeling hydrated while also using optically diffusing pigments to blur the appearance of imperfections under the eyes (or anywhere else, for that matter).

Kosas The Clean Star Revealer Concealer Super Creamy+ Brightening Concealer ($28)

Touted by the brand as a concealer, eye cream, and spot treatment all in one, this medium-coverage formula works great on all skin types. Using arnica to support healing skin, caffeine to brighten, and peptides to boost collagen, you can apply this product anywhere on the face—under-eyes included—to see an improved overall appearance.

Lorac Pro Soft Focus Longwear Concealer ($24)

A creamy formula available in 12 shades, this concealer is infused with blurring powders to camouflage imperfections and blur fine lines. Vitamin C, watermelon, apple, and lentil fruit extracts hydrate the skin and improve elasticity at the same time. As an added perk, the formula is oil-free, fragrance-free, and paraben-free.

Revolution Conceal & Define Infinite Longwear Concealer ($10)

With 50 shades ranging from fair to deep, there’s a color match for pretty much anyone looking for a concealer in Revolution’s new line. Niacinamide is the hero ingredient in this concealer, and it acts as an anti-inflammatory on blemish-prone skin. The matte finish also won’t settle or accentuate fine lines along the eye area, making it a good option for more mature skin too.

Stila Pixel Perfect Concealer ($24)

Using elderflower extract to de-puff the under-eye skin and vitamin E to protect it from free radical damage, this product mixes skin care with makeup to ensure your complexion looks flawless. The 15 available shades erase under-eye circles, acne spots, and other imperfections with a simple swipe of the wand.

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer ($26)

Looking for an under eye concealer with hyaluronic acid? We’ve got you covered. Infused with line-plumping hyaluronic acid and collagen, this concealer smooths the under-eye area, for a more youthful appearance, while also preventing future signs of aging. “This gives amazing coverage while still feeling lightweight,” says celebrity makeup artist Mary Irwin. But that’s not all. It’s also waterproof, so you can rest assured it’ll stay put through tears, sweat, and more.

Clé De Peau Beauté Concealer ($70)

“This is a classic for a reason!” says Irwin. “It gives beautiful coverage without creasing, and a tiny bit goes a long, long way.” According to a study conducted by the brand, 96% of 110 women between the ages of 20 to 50 said that in the targeted area, this concealer blended into the skin in a natural-looking way. And as a bonus, the concealer contains SPF 25 for extra sun protection in the delicate eye area.

Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer ($48)

For those with dry skin, this concealer by Kevyn Aucoin is a prime choice. Formulated with jojoba oil and honey, it hydrates the under-eye area in order to prevent cakiness or flaking throughout the day. And for those also looking to neutralize discoloration instead of simply covering it up, Irwin suggests trying the shade number nine for light skin or number 13 for medium to dark skin tones.

Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer ($27)

Highly pigmented, this concealer needs only a thin layer to create full coverage of under-eye circles and never needs touch-ups. Pro tip: apply a light dusting of setting powder on top of applied concealer, then swipe off excess. Your finish will have extra staying power—regardless of how hot, humid, or wet the weather is.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Concealer ($26)

Sometimes it can feel absolutely impossible to find a concealer for your skin tone, but with Fenty Beauty’s impressive range of 50 different shades, you can rest assured that there’s one in the group that will be your perfect match. Plus this soft matte, long-wear formula is phthalate-, paraben-, and cruelty-free, which is always a perk when it comes to cosmetics. Like most things endorsed by Rihanna (who created the line—Fenty is her last name), this concealer already has a cult following—and we totally understand why!

Wander Beauty Dualest Matte & Illuminating Concealer ($29)

With a matte stick for thicker coverage on one end and an illuminating liquid on the other, this dual-sided concealer fills all your under-eye-correction needs. Use the stick for full coverage of shadows and the liquid to brighten the area for an immediate bright-eyed look. Some advice: use the warmth of your fingers to help blend the matte stick formula into your under-eye area more easily. It’ll soften the consistency, for a seamless finish.

Bobbi Brown Under Eye Corrector ($29)

“Bobbi Brown makes amazing neutralizers,” says Irwin. For covering up super stubborn dark circles, Irwin suggests reaching for a more yellow-toned, peach option if you’re fair or a yellow-orange shade if you’re dark-toned, to neutralize the circles’ blueish undertones. For additional coverage, layer on a brightening concealer (like Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Concealer ($31), which these correctors were created to be paired with) that’s one to two shades lighter than your complexion.

Glossier Stretch Concealer ($18)

If every concealer seems to crease on you the instant you put it on, Glossier’s flexible formula might be your makeup soulmate. Elastic micro waxes allow the cream to move with your skin rather than pool along fine lines, while ingredients like avocado and jojoba oil nourish the skin. It’s important to note that coverage is generally light, so layering to build coverage is recommended. Overall, this might be the best crease-free under-eye concealer we’ve tried thus far.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer ($10)

Affordable and effective, this formula uses goji berry and haloxyl (a popular anti-aging ingredient) to help smooth the under-eye area and reduce the appearance of under-eye bags. As a bonus, it comes with an attached applicator so you can throw this in your bag and do touch-ups throughout the day—no additional products needed.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer ($30)

A staple backstage at all the major fashion weeks across the world, this concealer may just be our favorite. Not only does it instantly erase all signs of fatigue, it’s also crease-, sweat-, water-, and humidity-resistant. However,  it’s important to note that in addition to formula, application technique makes a difference in your concealer’s staying power. “Work in thin layers,” explains Irwin. “Both a detail concealer brush and a beauty sponge come in handy to diffuse the edges and blend [it] flawlessly into the rest of the face.”
