I am booked in for neck and lower face lift with gland reduction. I am not sure I am ready for the visible scaring at 37. I have previously had liposuction which made no difference and I am trying to achieve a 90* angle to the anterior neck. Ive been told an isolated neck lift wont give me the results I am trying to achieve? Is an isolated necklift not an option?
Im 52 and six weeks post-op from traditional chin liposuction. After reviewing my before-and-after photos, I still notice jowling and less definition along the jawline and marionette areas. My surgeon has recommended a Nefertiti neck-lift with Botoxwill that on its own create a crisper jawline, or should I also consider fillers or other treatments?
6 months post deep plane facelift and neck lift. Great job getting rid of my jowls and turkey neck, but it's like the cartilage structure in my throat has dropped and relaxed. I understand that removing excess skin and fat make the neck structure more visible, but I've compared pics and my throat was not nearly this prominent. Can this be remedied w/under chin incision alone Does the cobra neck cause the adam's apple to press down and out? I'm 60, trying to be reasonable.
I had a lower facelift including neck lift by an experienced Boston plastic surgeon 8 months ago. Im not happy with the skin still hanging down on my neck and there is a hollow area between the two folds that really bothers me. Is this cobra neck deformity that occurs when a neck lift is botched? Would most women be happy with this result? I have made an appointment to see the surgeon who did the procedure but at my last follow up with him he seemed to think that this was the best it could be.
57 yrs of age with ehlers danlos syndrome &thin skinned. I welcome any suggestions on what will give me a natural aesthetic appearance while firming my neck as it has become saggy and loose. Thank you.
Hello! Im 35 years old and thin/fit. I had an extended deep plane neck lift and platysmaplasty (NO lipo) last year to address genetic sagging. My incisions start at the top of my tragus and continue around the ear to the top of the back of my ear. They do NOT extend along the hairline behind my ear. I also have an incision under my chin. My original goal was to remove loose skin under my chin and improve the shape of my neck- which was sloped/ obtuse / c-shaped - to a more of a 90 degree right angle. I am now more than 6 months post-op and extra skin is still present and the shape didnt improve. He said my hyoid bone had an average position - not low, not high. I was offered a revision to remove more skin using the incision in back of ear only. Im looking for advice on what at has to happen during the revision to get a more defined, 90 degree angle neck? I trust my doctor but want to be well-informed.
I had a lower face and neck lift in Aug. 2024, and while Im satisfied with my jawline, my neck still has significant loose skin and sagging. It also has ripples when I look up. My skin is thin but Im seeing before and after pictures of much older women with similar-looking skin/before pictures that look much better than I do. Youd almost never know I had a neck lift. Am I exaggerating or not being realistic, and if not, should I go back for a revision with the same surgeon?
Im 36 year old female at 180 pounds and feel heaviness of neck , and dislike the fat and lack of jawline definition. Im confused as to if I should get a chin implant With necklift or chin implant with lipo or something completely different . I dont want to look m different from the front. Also should I combine with facelift for jowls and mini brow lift ?
Hi! I am scheduled to get a neck lift procedure next month and I am planning on asking my plastic surgeon about this at my preop, but Im curious to get an array of thoughts. I have seen some patient post neck lift have what looks almost like a hollowing under the chin around the throat area. Is this something that is expected to happen? Is this something that can be avoided or does this just depend on individual anatomy? If Im hoping to avoid it, it is something specific I can discuss with my surgeon?
