I've used the device in my belly, upper leg and underarms as well, but the worst reaction was on my lower legs. A day after my first treatment, my lower legs got very itchy, and with several bumps in my pores, sometimes with a kind of liquid inside. The second treatment, 2 weeks after the 1st one, it got even worst. My legs are itching way more, I have a lot of bumps, and other parts of my body (where I made the treatment), are getting the same reaction even though is not as severe as my legs.
I went in yesterday for IPL to treat broken blood vessels. I was not prepared for the level of discoloration I'm seeing. Over the past 24 hours the darker parts have gotten darker and there is a small blister on my forehead. My skin feels sunburnt. Is this normal or is this a burn? Have I ruined my skin? I'll be contacting my provider on Monday morning. I'm reading some fantastic horror stories about IPL reactions so any help you can provide is appreciated.
hi! i recently underwent a laser treatment and the back side of my leg was seemingly had an allergic reaction according to my laser technician but i definitely think she burned me, and now i am left with so many marks on my legs and i want to get rid of them but i don't know how and i am so scared that i am going to be left with hyper-pigmentation, and my technician said it will fade away and will not leave any pigmentation behind however i don't believe her, can someone please help me
I had done photo facial twice and I liked the result on my face! After I leave the Dr's office I get symptoms like a bad cold. Strong headache, running nose, body aches. I asked Dr's PA about it, she said:never heard about it before. I want to keep doing it but I am concerned of the side effects. I would really appreciate your answer. Thank You very much for your time, Marta
I've had IPLs before and never had a reaction. I went to a med spa in seattle (1st time there) & got an IPL on Wednesday by a med esthetician. Went home fine and woke up morning after to LOTS of swelling under eyes and now day 2 it's WORSE! I've used antihistamine, hydrocortisone and ice to no avail! Since I've never had a reaction I am starting to panic that this May be permanent swelling and damage! I look beat up. Ive read horror stories that I didn't know were possible with IPL! Please help!
The doctor recomended 5 treatments spaced 3-4wks apart; I have had 2 and will start the 3rd soon. He told me to stop using Metrogel while IPL is curently ongoing so it won't interfere with treatmnt results. I've stopped using Metrogel 1%, however I think I should still use it in conjunction with the IPL so results will be & look better once treatments have ended. Which option(s) would be best & who is correct-the doctor or myself? Also, why does my face re-flare one week after a treatmt?
