I had my surgery in 2008. I was all shy of 480 lbs. I lost 275 lbs of that and successfully kept it off over the years. I'm 46 now and I have gained apx 30 unwanted pounds. Any suggestions on getting the weight back off? I really haven't changed my eating habits. So unsure of what to do

I am wanting to get the Gastric Bypass surgery but the DR I saw told me that there is a potential risk of an ulcer because I am an ex-smoker. I quit about 7yrs ago and was wondering what is the risk % of actually getting an ulcer with the bypass surgery for a 7yr ex-smoker. the Dr I saw wouldnt give me a % just said there was a risk of life threatening ulcers because its only been 7yrs.
