I had a lower lid bleph with fat repositioning about 4 days ago. The swelling looks like golf balls were inserted under my skin and the bruising which ranges in color from bright red to black extends from my bottom lashes to below my cheekbones. My upper lids which were not done are also bright red. On top of it my eyes are swollen to the point I can barely open them. When I contacted my doctor he said it was normal and will continue to get worse for a solid week. I am upset as I was led to believe, like many others, that this is a relatively routine procedure with a relatively short (4-6 week) recovery. There is no way this level of bruising and swelling will resolve that quickly. Has anyone else experienced such extensive bruising and swelling after a lower lid bleph and can anyone explain why there is such horrific bruising and swelling?
