Jeffrey Thaxton, MD FACS

So far so good. Just had surgery yesterday so pretty sore and swollen. Was a saggy C. Now a full D. Dr thaxton was very knowledgeable and listened to everything I said I wanted. I originally picked the low profile implants but he said with my smaller diaphragm that the moderate profile would be better for me. I took his professional advice and love the results so far. Updated on 11 Jul 2024: This is day 9 and they are starting to feel like mine. Absolutely loving them! Can’t wait to stop wearing the support bra but it’s been so worth it. I did 375cc above muscle. I get some sharp pains occasionally in nipple but I think that’s normal while healing.

Had my consultation with Dr. Thaxton this morning. Bed side manner was great, he was very informative, explained risks, answering all my questions, being honest about my concerns. His nurse Lisa is very sweet. I felt extremely comfortable after being a nervous wreck.

I need help. My cellfina procedure has made my thighs 200 times worse than procedure. I am so depressed and angry cause I am going to have to live like this. So embarrassing. My surgeon is great I do not blame him! I put this all on the manufacturer and misrepresention of Cellfina. I filed a claim within my one year post tx. Still waiting to see ehat can be done. Does anyone had any successful treatments to help rectify what has made my legs look like someone took hammer and bent indentions and horizontally indentions. My poor dr even told me it made it worse. Asking for help I cannot afford to fix this on my own.

Had a great experience with Dr. Thaxton and his staff. They are all top notch. They made the entire process easy and stress free. They listened to all of my concerns and wishes. Dr. Thaxton is an amazing surgeon. I got a breast augmentation, and I am beyond pleased with my results. My recovery was very easy and fast compared to what I have heard from people who went to other surgeons. The office was clean and modern, and I loved that the time I had to wait to be seen was always super short. Pics attached are before and 2 weeks post op.

I’m 68 and at the point where I believe it’s time to address my neck. A lower face lift is basically required according to what I’ve read. In addition, my smile has disappeared due to upper lip becoming longer and hiding my teeth. As a former smoker, I’ve got some vertical lip lines too. I believe only filler can eliminate those. Updated on 1 Jul 2019: I’ve decided on Dr Joe Niamtu of Richmond VA. www.lovethatface.com. Surgery date is next. Probably sometime in September-maybe August. Now that I decided who to use, I wish I could get on with it! Lol. Has anyone gone to him?? Updated on 3 Jul 2019: It’s a ways off, but I’m sure it’ll work out. October 6th 2019 is my date. I’m having robot assisted hysterectomy/bladder lift July 30 and need time for that to heal. I’m in a quandary over lip lift or use fillers instead. I’m going to trust Dr Joe about that. Anyone on here used Dr Joe Niamtu?? Updated on 28 Dec 2020: I am 69. I began looking for a skilled plastic/cosmetic surgeon in 2019. I was set to go with Joe Niamtu MD in Richmond VA. He wanted close to $16k for lower face/neck lift. That is until i, along with my husband, called to accept the surgery date but was told , “We don’t want you as a patient. You ask too many questions.” What? Wait. Run if you’re told that by anyone!! So. Steer clear. I dropped searching until after 2019 holiday season. Meantime I looked around. I finally bit the bullet! I’m excited to share these photos with you....I chose Jeffrey Thaxton MD right here in Charleston WV. I’m thrilled. My husband is thrilled. Family and friends approve. One friend is my dentist who I saw 1 week before surgery. I showed him pics right after. His review was: The DR is a miracle worker. Magnificent! The surgery was Thursday Dec 17 2020 Updated on 25 Jan 2021: Hello all! I've been thinking about having work done to fix my saggy neck for about 4 years. I tried everything to stave it off including Ultherapy which was a total waste of money!! Do not waste your money! And it was a lot of money!! I'm still mad about that. Dr. Thaxton did Not do the Ultherapy treatment. I go to a medical spa for Botox. She and her staff talked me into the Ultherapy. Shame on them and me for believing it would do anything! Jeffrey Thaxton has been my doctor for about 11 years. He kept telling my no neck lift without a lower facelift. I vetted many doctors before deciding Dr. Thaxton should be my facelift dr.  I finally took the plunge. He did a beautiful job! I'm so pleased! I can't get this app to allow me to choose and to post photos:( Updated on 1 Mar 2021: Dr Thaxton and his staff are terrific. I’ve known Dr Thaxton for 10 years. He’s not only a plastic surgeon but also a cosmetic surgeon, which required additional training. There IS a difference. He performed the lower face lift in December, and he removed 10-15 years off my lower face and neck! Can’t beat that. 2020 was one of the worst years of my life. My 44 year old son took his life. My face aged an extra 5 years just from my crying:( I expected perfect results from my surgery. So did Dr Jeff. With no known risk factors, I suffered ischemia especially on the right side of my face. It began right on the operating table. It was/is bad. I may require some minor scar revision, but I’m confident Dr Jeff will fix it. I’ll keep you posted. Other than using scar gel strips, we’re waiting until the 3 months mark to consider any additional procedure. Updated on 9 Apr 2021: We all see the immediate results but I wanted to show results 4 months out. 95% of the ischemic issues are resolved. Dr Jeff has held my hand every step of the way assuring me my face would completely heal. I’m so grateful to him and his awesome staff. Meanwhile I had some CoolSculpting on my tummy performed, and it worked beautifully! Flattened my stomach and reduced my waist from 30” to 28 1/2. I’m happy with that! Updated on 14 May 2021: Better and better! Updated on 15 May 2021: It's been over 4 months now. I'm so pleased with the results! My husband loves my refreshed look too! The comments my friends make are all positive. The fun part is when a stranger stops to tell me how beautiful I am! Priceless!! Happy 70th to me!! Updated on 23 Jun 2021: Updated on 6 Jul 2021: I looked around. I thought going out of town to a bigger city would be best. I went for consultations. Finally I decided to stay here and am I so glad I did! I experienced an unfortunate and frightening complication that was unexpected! The incisions on both sides of my face actually developed necrosis. This is a complication normally attributed to smoking! I haven’t smoked in 5 years. I was in great health. And, it is Not what you want! It’s been since the end of December and I still have some scars on one side which may need revision. Hopefully not. The outcome is beautiful, and I’m so pleased! But I’m SO glad I stayed in town as I needed lots of follow up and support. So just know bad things can happen when not expected. Even death. Deciding to have surgery should be carefully considered. Updated on 6 Aug 2021: Updated on 10 Sep 2021: I’m so pleased with Dr Jeff’s work! He performed a lower facelift which I believe is outstanding! I did NOT want a “blown” look! I wanted a natural, well rested look, and that’s what he provided!! I get so many compliments on how I always look so beautiful and just never change:) Perfect!

Dr. Thaxton was the absolute BEST surgeon I could have picked. He was incredibly understanding and he listened to what I wanted and gave feedback to what he thought would work well for my body and I'm beyond ecstatic for my results! The entire staff are so nice and sweet even after I embarrassed myself coming out of anesthesia. Highly recommend for anyone looking into this procedure!

After years of research I finally decided to go for it. I’m 30 years old, mother of 1. I breastfed for 13 months. I had a nice, perky C before. Was left with a deflated, sagging C cup. I had a full anchor lift with 300cc round silicone under the muscle. I’m 2 days post and 100% pleased so far. Pain has been bearable, even minimal in my opinion. Im just very happy and I hope the rest of this process can go as smoothly as the last couple of days. :) Updated on 16 Apr 2019: The pics are from 2 days post. It looks worse than it feels. I feel that pain wise, I have done amazing. Surgery was Thursday and I came back to work on Monday. I have a desk job and all in all I felt great all day. Pain is very minimal and nothing that Motrin or Tylenol won’t take care of. I sleep pretty much all night, still on the recliner and elevated. I love the look of them so far. I cannot wait to heal and see the final product! Updated on 19 Apr 2019: After a week I still feel really good! The only “pain” i feel is in my sternum when I first get up in the mornings. My left breast still has some moving to do but all in all I really love the look of them. I haven’t seen my surgeon since the day after my surgery. I go back on the 25th and I’m anxious to make sure that I’m progressing as I should be. No complications thus far, and I hope things continue so smoothly as I heal. Updated on 22 Apr 2019: Just a quick update. I feel pretty much back to normal, except for sleeping. I’m still trying to sleep elevated and that’s just been annoying for me. Otherwise I feel great! Very happy with my results so far. I’m a little concerned with my left breast, but I feel I’m still early out and trying not to stress too much. I see my surgeon again on Thursday.

My experience was absolutely perfect!! I am amazed about how smoothly everything went. Dr Thaxton and his office made me feel so safe and relaxed about the whole process. I went in for pain relief from too large breasts, willing to suffer the surgery pain for future results. Amazed at how easy and practically pain free procedure was. I was worried about going through with this procedure due to some mixed reviews. Mostly it was the bruising and pain that alarmed me about reviews. I feel that with most cosmetic procedures it is important to have them performed by a reportable provider. And, to be informed that this procedure is for cellulite that is caused by connective tissues that create dimples. Not for wavy skin caused by loose skin or excessive fat. As far as pain, it was painful but not unbearable. The machine creates a hard suction which was pretty painful and gave me some hickey like bruises. The numbing was the worst part. After that I didn’t feel much. I only leaked for the first 24 hours. Which is mostly lidocaine and a little blood. They gave me compression pants which helped a lot with swelling and pain. The first several days it was painful to sit on the toilet or sleep on my side for a long period of time. It’s been a week and my legs are still tender but as to be expected. No terriblepain. The after pain was less than expected. As far as I can tell the procedure has worked! I will keep posting my progress. Updated on 2 Apr 2018: It’s s little over 2 weeks and my bruises are almost gone. But I am definitely still tender. From what I can tell most of my deep dimples are gone. I have gained a lot of weight recently due to some hormonal issues so I feel I have some extra waviness on my legs that I’m not used to. I’m excited to see my results as I heal a bit more. Updated on 27 Jun 2018: Overall I’m happy with my results but I may have to go back for a touch up treatment on a few stubborn areas. I would definitely suggest this procedure. It does work. I do still have a few visible needle marks. But you have to know where they are and look very closely.

Start to finish, I had an amazing experience. He explained everything, answered all of my questions and more. The staff is great and so is the office. The whole team makes the surgery go smooth. Thank you all!
