My visit with Dr. Hubert was fantastic! Not only was his staff friendly and kind, but they ensured all COVID safety precautions were followed. Dr. Hubert was exceptional in addressing my needs, extremely thorough in his exam, and incredibly professional and friendly! I had filler and Botox injected which looks great and feel I look years younger. Hands-down one of the best plastic surgeons in RVA!

In July 2016 I went in for a breast reduction surgery, because I was having back pain from the size of my breast. I told Dr. Darrin M. Hubert to reduce my breast in half, I was a DDD cup size and he only reduced it to DD. My back pain is still the same and I have lost sensation on my breast and nipple. I have to take medicine for my back pain and I have lost weight, but my back pain still persist. I hope he reads this and see if we can correct this.

I am 63. I don’t recognize myself in the mirror. I am scheduled for neck and lower face lift with upper eyelid surgery. I have to get Cardiology clearance and scheduled for that appointment tomorrow 4.5.21. Updated on 10 Apr 2021: I was cleared by cardiology on Monday. My surgery is 4.22.21. My pre op appointment is 4.20.21. Next week I will get my permanent teeth as I have been undergoing implant dentistry, crowns and veneers on all my teeth. This process has taken a year. Do your research before getting implants. I am going to be happy not to have a partial but it has been long and painful. Updated on 16 Apr 2021: I go from being excited to being unsure. I am prepared as I have set up my supplies. Prepped my husband and stocked up on yogurt and soup. I read that chewing is difficult for the first 2 weeks. I finished my dental work yesterday. Crowns. Implants. Veneers. Updated on 21 Apr 2021: My lower face lift, neck lift, upper eye lift is tomorrow. I picked up my prescriptions, yogurt, protein drinks and other supplies today. My Dr. started me taking Arnica tablets yesterday. He also wants me to eat pineapple. I still need to get the fresh pineapple this evening and lots of water. I hope this makes my neck and jawline look better. I will take photos as soon as I can post op. Updated on 22 Apr 2021: Miserable. In intense pain. Wrap very tight. Headache. Ointment got in my eyes. Can’t see clearly for hours. I have had tummy tuck and breast reduction in past. No pain unless I moved. This is excruciating pain just sitting still. Called my niece because her name was the only one I could make out on my phone because she has 2 names Mary Catherine. She is a nurse practitioner. She called Dr. The nurse called me back right away. Suggested I take Tylenol with the Dilauded. It took the edge off and I finally slept 30 minutes. She also said basically you are miserable the first day. I go in tomorrow to remove drains and tight as hell wrap. I don’t know if it is the surgery or the Dr. iI had my other surgeries with different Dr. I will update tomorrow. Oh, and have to sleep sitting up because back of my head hurts so bad. That is where the drains are. Bad idea. Updated on 23 Apr 2021: Still in a lot of pain, mostly from binder. I searched amazon for something more comfy looking. No luck. Apparently makers of binders are sadists. The edges are sharp. Digging into my neck. No matter how loose I make it. Looking at my photos I look exactly the same so far. Every one else looks markedly different immediately. So far I regret this surgery. Updated on 29 Apr 2021: Today is one week. Sutures removed yesterday. Still in some pain. Taking tylenol for that. Dr. Said he tightened neck muscles very tightly. Left eye is healing slightly slower. I hope everyone is healing well and not as miserable as I am. So far still sorry I did this. Updated on 7 May 2021: It has been 2 weeks since my surgery. I am able to take off wrap for a few minutes at a time. My dissolvable sutures behind my ears did not dissolve. I went back this week to have the stitches clipped. Apparently they will work themselves out over the next few months. In the meantime it feeks like sharp pieces of wire are poking my ears from behind. All sutures pull and are uncomfortable. Neck feels like I am being strangled. I am giving myself until June 1st to start feeling like this was worth it. At this time...I do not. Miserable and uncomfortable. Taking so much Tylenol I had to buy another large bottle. Updated on 14 May 2021: Three weeks after lower face and neck lift, upper eyelid lift. It is only 3 weeks but I am disappointed beyond measure. I would be happier if PS had just told me that I wasnot a good candidate for these procedures. I am still uncomfortable. I have lumps under my skin on both sides of my face. I have rope like scars behind my head and ears. The tiny slight improvement in my neck was not worth $12,000. My upper eye lift was supposed to help the ouside corners of my eyes to not hang down on the ends. There is no change at all in my eyes except thst they hurt. The eyelids keep teitching. He said he can inject them with a muscle relaxer. The downturned mouth corners are also the same. DO NOT DO THIS SURGERY unless you research your doctor better than I did. He is excellent on paper. I should have spoken to some of his patients. Updated on 1 Jun 2021: Today is 4.5 weeks post op neck lift and upper eyelid surgeries. Much less pain. Under chin, behind ears only hurt if touched. Left eye still dark. Lots of lumps. I am going to find a massage therapist for lymphatic drainage massage. I have read it will help the lumps dissipate. Sides of face still nymb. Updated on 25 Sep 2021: 5 months out and not happy with results. Still pain and numbness. Neck is better looking but that is all. Eyelids still droopy. Corners of mouth still turn down. Behind ears hurt. Lower jaw tender and nearly impossible to was face without pain. I gave away $12,000. For this. Updated on 11 Feb 2023: Waste of $12,000.00. Surgeon Hubert, Richmond, va. I read bad reviews of him and I still let him do my face . My main goal was my neck and chin. It is a fail. I want to go to another surgeon but don’t have the money now. Updated on 13 Sep 2024: 3 years and a loss of 48 pounds. Neck still unsatisfactory. I will make another update soon with makeup. In todays photo I am just getting over COVID. I want to lose 15 more pounds and at that time I will visit plastic surgeon to see what I can afford to improve my looks.

Getting pretty nervous I am having a BR and lipo on my flanks and upper stomach on 01/24/14. The cost is just for the lipo, the BR is being covered by Insurance. Would love to talk to more people going through the same emotional roller coaster. One minute I and excited and the next very nervous. My poor Husband has been very supportive but just does not know the true emotions that I am feeling. On top of surgery coming up in less then 2 weeks I am just recovering from the flu which has had me down for a week. My pre-op had to be pushed back until this Wed. Can anyone please help me get through this roller coaster of emotions!!! LOL Thanks for reading my review...:)
