Dr. Colen is a World Class Doctor!

Dr. Colen is by far one of my favorite doctors of all time! He treats me as if I was his own daughter. His perfection is what keeps me coming back and his sense of compassion towards his patients by far makes him stand out as a cosmetic perfectionist! His staff is a class act and they make it a point to make you feel like a person instead of a medical record. That, by far, is worth more than any amount of money.

Breast Lift with Implants

Dr. Colen breast augmentation and mastoplexy.

As a women we all struggle with body image, but Dr. Colen and his staff can help you achieve your cosmetic goals. I had a great experience, the staff was so friendly and Dr.Colen is very knowledgeable. At my consultation I asked several series of questions, he was very patient and took the time to answer them all! The ladies there from the receptionist, financial team, and nurses were extremely kind. The team went out of their way to make my experience comfortable very personable, and genuine. Surgery is not to be taken lightly they went over my medical record thoroughly, and it is a friendly, welcoming environment. I had a breast augmentation with mastoplexy, essentially implants and a lift. I lost about 70 pounds causing my breast to sag, which greatly affected my self confidence and lifestyle. Dr. Colen and team kept me well informed, they also offer manageable financing Options if needed. I did get two other consults and I was not happy and did not feel comfortable. But Dr. Colen was a perfect match for what I desired to achieve my goals. The day of surgery everything was explained thoroughly just as they had done prior to surgery to prepare for the evolution. The nurses were very kind and sweet while prepping me to the procedure, making sure I was comfortable and warm. The before pictures are awkward to take but again I never felt uncomfortable! The anesthesiologist was also very comforting, explained everything, from his game plan and informed me of every step he was performing. I also inquired about the medications he was using he took the time to explain them all. I briefly remember our conversation and then it was over. I was kindly woken by a nurse bandaged and ready to go. They insisted you fill your pain medications prior to your procedure which I was so grateful for! The cost covered all of my follow ups even if I requested additional. The staff know me and my husband by name, and the post op care was great. Again all my questions and concerned were answered and I was thrilled with the outcome. I would recommend Dr. Colen and Norfolk Plastic surgery to anyone and everyone! The doctors and staff are well educated and very helpful.

Had TT 14 Days Ago - Norfolk, VA

Pre-surgery with my doctor were great. He answered all my questions no matter how trivial. On the day of surgery the entire staff was great. They talked to me while I was waiting, answered more questions then I went to sleep. Waking up was in all honesty awful, I stayed in the hospital for 2 nights. Moving any part of my body in the first 24 to 36 hours was terrible and it wasn't from the incision, it was from the tightening of the muscles. Going to the bathroom to pee was definitely a challenge because you don't want to wait until the last minute. I had one drain and the drainage wasn't terrible bad. Showers felt incredibly good after the tt. By the 3rd day, I figured out how to get out of a chair using more of my arm muscles than my stomach muscles and this helped tremendously. Still moved very slow. Didn't sleep in a bed until the 5th day and then I made sure I was propped up into almost a sitting position and had pillows under my knees. Sutures and drain were removed 6 days after surgery. I am now 14 days post-op, still sore, energy level isn't what it used to be, walk slower right now because I don't want to over-do. I had lipo with the tt but have had some bruising and little swelling. Wear my binder faithfully and rest when I need to. This is truly not the easiest thing I have ever done to myself but it has been worth it. I have never been a smoker, was within 10 lbs of my ideal weight, and exercised consistently before my surgery - I think this has helped with my recovery. BTW, suture and drain removal was not difficult or uncomfortable in case you have heard otherwise. All in all, my experience has been good.

22 Years Old - Norfolk, VA

When I was 17 I lost a bunch of weight really quickly and almost 6 years later instill haven't been able to tighten up my stomach so I went in for a consultation on feb 12th to see Dr. Colon. Since my trouble area is in my lower stomach he told me i didn't need the full procedure, but some lipo and a mini.. I'll post pics later on Updated on 2 Mar 2014: So I had my pre op appt on wed feb 26th. A little anxious now because I thought with a mini u didn't have to get drains, and the nurse garunteed that I would. This is also my first surgery EVER, I've never even had stitches before so I'm pretty anxious about that too. Mover all though I'm really excited. My surgery is set for Thursday at 730am. I'll keep you guys updated Updated on 7 Mar 2014: Well I had my procedure done yesturday morning at 0730 and everything went great. I'm still in a lot of pain it hurts to do pretty much everything, I think he may have really went to town on the flanks, but long as I keep up with my pain meds it's not too unberable. I have a really good support team and I can't stress enough how important that is because your body is already going to have you under enough stress so having someone or people to genuinely help and support you is great. I have my post op appt at 11 and I get new bandages and maybe a peak at it! Updated on 8 Mar 2014: So I'm two days post op now still pretty sore but moving around a lot better. So far really happy with my results. still really swollen, puffy, and numb but I can tell it's going to look good, I can already see a difference. Updated on 9 Mar 2014: Updated on 10 Mar 2014: I haven't took a sh!t since the day before surgery. ???? Updated on 10 Mar 2014: Updated on 12 Mar 2014: Let's hope this drain comes out today... But I doubt it because I'm still draining a lot -_- Updated on 12 Mar 2014: Well the drain will remain until Monday... At least I got my stitches out I guess Updated on 14 Mar 2014: Was anyone else still really swollen I week post op? Updated on 16 Mar 2014: Still really swollen and I have an appt to get my drain out tomorrow but I doubt it because I'm still draining a lot, which I guess it's kinda good, I know it has a way to for the results. I just didn't expect to be this swollen 10 days post Updated on 19 Mar 2014: Still bloaded like a balloon with swelling and fluids.. Have an appt I a couple Of hairs, pretty sure drain is staying in for atleast another a week Updated on 19 Mar 2014: Updated on 19 Mar 2014: Drain still in of course! Still really swollen and hard. My ps set me up for some ultra sounds that I guess really helps with swelling and tissue repair, I'll have 3 before I go to work Thursday! Really hope my drain is taken out on that wed prior to my return!! Updated on 19 Mar 2014: Other than the tenderness from swelling and the drain I feel great! And luckily I'm this perfect chocolate color lol because my tape is starting to come off and I barely can see the incision Updated on 20 Mar 2014: Updated on 21 Mar 2014: Today was my 2nd ultrasound appt.y drain is stitched to me and the stitches are ripping out of me!!!!!! I'm so ready for this thing to come out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Updated on 21 Mar 2014: I guess I can see the ultrasounds paying off the swelling has went down a little bit Updated on 22 Mar 2014: Idek know at this point. Besides the pain from the actual surgery, I've made 0 progress in recovering. Ik it's a work in progress but -___- Updated on 25 Mar 2014: At this point I'm completely miserable! Still really swollen and tender and still wearing the drain! The stiches that stiches the tubing inside of you started to rip down( my drain is in my pelvic) and it was very painful. I had the stiches replaced yesturday and I wake up in the middle of the night wet becuause the new stiches didn't keep the drain in place and came out like 2 in the opening site was leaking fat and fluids all night! Then yesturday my ps had me go get a new tailored compressing garment, because he believes my binder is contributing to the swelling and not relieving it, the new one is pretty much nothing but compression shorts that come halfway up the stomach, and it cost 80 bucks! I feel like some swelling has come back since my last ultrasound and that's very dissapointing and discouraging but I have another one tomorrow and Thursday. Those appts should be back to back! Over I can't say I regret anything at this point I'm jus miserable! Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to return to work THURSDAY! Updated on 6 Apr 2014: Ultrasounds paid off big time! Still some tissue swelling and some muscle swelling every now and then. Idk exactly why but my ps said that I'm pretty much 2 weeks late on my recovery but at this point I'm making good progress so now I can put my worries to rest. Updated on 11 Apr 2014: It's weird I haven't seen any of the other guys TT turn out like this. Maybe it's my natural physique but I gots tha V lol.... Still puffy tho -_- bug as you can see I've made great progress Updated on 16 Apr 2014:
