Alex N. Mesbahi, MD - Account Suspended

I originally had a sub-muscular double mastectomy performed elsewhere, which ended up being a disaster. Placing the implants under the pectoral muscle greatly reduced my quality of life. I was referred to Dr. Mesbahi and he suggested to continue breast reconstruction by doing the pre-pectoral conversion surgery. I can say it was the best decision of my life. The pre-pectoral conversion surgery gave me my life back; I don't feel any more pain, I can exercise, I don't have anxiety as before, and I can sleep without discomfort. For the first time I feel that life will get back to normal after going through breast cancer treatment. Doctors like Dr. Mesbahi who keep up with the advances in medicine to provide the best possible treatment to patients deserve more than 5 stars. Thank you!!!!!!

Had rhinoplasty on 2/11 to address bulbous tip and small hump. The chin implant was to smooth jowling and help with face proportions. The office staff as well as the neighboring ambulatory center staff are all truly wonderful. They're friendly, warm and welcoming. Honestly, the degree of humanity displayed has been so out of the ordinary to me that I've mentioned it already to several people. Dr Mesbahi has been equally fantastic. He's prompt to return calls, answers all texts and has been friendly throughout. Today is only day 6, so I don't know about the outcome yet. So far, my concerns are: 1. Piggy nose (really freaking me out) 2. Too much distance between nose and lip. (Zombie girl? Skeleton? Who knows. Not good) 3. Jowls look worse that they did before. My hope is that I don't really have a piggy nose and that it's just taped that way, and when my nose is released that will fix the 2nd issue as well. Not sure about the 3rd. A bit perplexing. I see filler in my future but we'll see. Splint comes off tomorrow! Updated on 18 Feb 2022: Chin implant: Jowls still look puffier than before - no change there. Still swelling in my cheeks overall. Going to just have to wait to see how it goes over the next couple of weeks. Rhinoplasty: Now, that I have the cast off, I’m not feeling near as zombie-girlish. The piggy nose isn’t near as noticeable (Thank you, God - I literally prayed all the way to the doctor’s office!). But, now, it’s so chubby! I cannot wait for the swelling to go down! I don’t feel like I look like myself, but I actually like my profile. Progress!

I visited The National Center for Plastic Surgery for a consultation on jowling. It was recommended that I get Ultherapy, filler and a chin implant. As of this picture, I had only done the Ultherapy treatment. As you can see in the side-by-side photos, my jaw line is smoother. The pre-jowl indent is also smoother from a front point of view. The pictures are pre- and 2 months post. That said, I've seen pictures of women older with worse jowls than me come out with significantly more correction. So, while I recommend it, I'm still disappointed that it didn't do more. Tip: Go to a plastic surgeon's office and request the gas, and you'll feel very little pain - or none at all.

Wow, the truth is that I am extremely contented and grateful that God has placed Doctor Alex Mesbahi in my path. In 2013 it was my first surgery with her and since then I have not released her. He gave me a show breast reconstruction and they look super natural despite the cancer and all the treatments. God used him to bring joy back to my life. I have been dealing with him for 8 years and I don't regret it. In this year 2020 I had tissue transfer from the abdomen to the sinuses. and Wow. omg. I have no words, I recommend him with closed eyes girls and boys he is the best. Then I will show before and after photos. for all those women who have passed cancer may have a light of hope and even look better than before. That will fill them with joy and they will feel that it was worth it. Doctor Mesbahi you are the best. A thousand, thousand and thousands of thanks and to your tremendous team.

Dr. Mesbahi and his entire staff are amazing. Dr. Mesbahi did not cut any corners. He made my well being and my health his first priority. My post op results are amazing!! I was a little worried about scaring because I suffer from hyperpigmentation. Only weeks after surgery I can honestly say I can barely see the incisions. I was also afraid of pain from the surgery, but there was minimal. I’m not sure how Dr. Mesbahi did it but he did. I felt like I could get right back at it the next day. He and his staff are down to earth, kind, caring, and on top of their game. From the time I went in for my consult to post surgery I have been in good hands. You will not be disappointed!!

I'm a mother of 2, breastfed both, decreased from ~C to ~B and noticed some sagging. I'm roughly 5'1 and ~150lbs. I'd like to achieve a D/DD and promised myself that by 30 I would do this (which is in 6 months). I was originally scheduled for surgery on 3/19 but due to COVID was finally rescheduled to 5/22 (which is this coming Friday)! I'm extremely excited to see my results. I've chosen Dr. Alex Mesbahi (who happens to have great reviews) to perform this surgery for me. Previously he and I had decided on 385-415cc silicone gummy bear implants. However, I kicked it up a notch and requested 450cc. Well, here goes nothing! :) Updated on 18 May 2020: I’ve spent a ton of time on this site trying to find my “wish” look and I found it! Her results were absolutely astounding and I hope my results resemble hers in some way! Updated on 23 May 2020: I feel pretty good with the occasional soreness and tightness. I’m not noticing much of a difference with taking the Valium but it’s tolerable. Still no pain meds since anesthesia, and I’ve been up and walking since after surgery. I’m absolutely thrilled even at this post with how they look. I even tried on an old bikini top that I once couldn’t fill out! Can’t wait for them to be fully healed :) Updated on 24 May 2020: From my consultation down the the day after I had surgery, I've had an amazing experience. I was so stuck on what size I wanted and I told him that I was obsessed. His response: "my goal is not to distort your figure, so once I sit you up and if things don't look right we're going down a size". Ultimately we went down a size and guess what, I'm. In. Love. Just by him saying that, it made me aware that he's about his patients having beautiful outcomes - and I did. I thank him and his lovely staff for making this such a great experience and if ever in the future I needed anything done, I'll be right back! Updated on 12 Jun 2020: I have my second post op visit on Monday, and I am so excited for my surgeon to see my results! I've been using a great cream that he gave me for my incisions and I've been massaging diligently, which both have been very beneficial! With the massage, I'm seeing that my implants are settling sooner than I expected and they look amazing! Updated on 1 Oct 2020: Here I am, almost 5 months post op and I can’t understand why I hadn’t had this surgery before! I had a post op back in early September and told Dr. Mesbahi that I was ready for more! However, he made me see that the size I’m at is perfect for me. I’m still beyond satisfied with the look and feel. They feel like natural breast, and they’re finally dropping and fluffing! For anyone unsure of whether or not they should do it - DO IT!

I had my rhinoplasty with Dr. Mesbahi and I am so happy with the results. He gave me a very natural look. He is a very caring plastic surgeon and really listens to your concerns and answers questions thoroughly. I highly recommend him!

Louisa and Gretchen his PA's are also amazing they communicating pre and post surgery follow up with me even over the phone to make sure I'm doing well . the office manager Gabriela is extremely helpful and taking care of my insurance coverage. He make me in better shape and much better than before after I got depressed from the double mastectomy . His work is incredible and I have no way to imagine how well this could have turned out .
