I can’t say enough incredible things about Dr. Bedri. The care that I received from him and his team during the most difficult time in my life is unmatched. I continue to be absolutely floored by the results I received from his work. I could not have imagined such beautiful results after a mastectomy and radiation, but his skill and dedication helped me feel like myself again.

No words can describe how lucky and thankful I am to have had Dr. Bedri as my plastic surgeon. Bedside manner- hands down, the nicest person to see through everything you're going through. Dr. Bedri is brilliant and has this natural confidence that you just know you're getting the best (beyond top rated) care. Im so happy with everything and especially the end phase. I can’t recommend Dr. Bedri and his team at East Coast Plastic Surgery enough! After receiving my breast cancer diagnosis, I was unsure of what my surgery and reconstruction options would be. Dr Bedri throughly discussed what he felt would work best for me and what might give me the best aesthetic outcome. His manner was always kind, calm, reassuring and compassionate. I felt complete trust in him. Once we came up with my reconstruction plan, his team did a fantastic job of scheduling and keeping me updated. I am one year out from my final reconstruction and I have to say, the results are far beyond what I could have imagined . Dr. Bedri is an artist and a perfectionist in the best possible way. If you are fortunate enough to choose Dr. Bedri for your surgery , you are in the best possible hands.

Getting a diagnosis of breast cancer is overwhelming. Everyone’s story is different. I knew when I was diagnosed that I was going to be aggressive as possible, and decided to have a bilateral mastectomy. Finding a team that would do what I wanted was so important, as some of the doctors I met with encouraged saving the breast, no matter what I wanted.
When I met with Dr. Bedri, his patience, willingness to explain details, and calm demeanor were exactly what I was looking for. He is a kind, sympathetic surgeon, with a great sense of humor. But most importantly, he is a PERFECTIONIST. My reconstruction looks amazing. I wasn’t interested in implants, so after the breast tissue was removed, Dr. Bedri did a DIEP Flap surgery, where fat/tissue was transplanted from my abdomen to my breasts. I was fortunate to have been able to save my nipples, and can honestly say that chest looks very much like it did prior to the mastectomy…with a little more shape and plumpness. I didn’t want anything drastically different, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.
It is a major surgery, and the recovery is a lot. There’s no way around that. But after talking to many women who have had DIEP Flaps, and hearing their stories, I know that I chose the best surgeon possible to reconstruct my breasts. I would recommend Dr. Bedri to absolutely anyone who needs reconstruction….without hesitation.

I honestly feel very lucky that my doctor recommended Dr. Bedri for my breast surgery after a cancer diagnosis. The diagnosis was tough to process but Dr. Bedri put me at ease and answered all of my questions. Dr. Bedri is one of the most caring doctors I’ve known. Finding out you have breast cancer is not easy, but from my first visit with Dr. Bedri, he put me at ease and took the time to give me all the information I needed. Once I made my decision to have a double mastectomy and DIEP flap reconstruction surgery, he has walked with me through this whole experience. He explained things, gave me options, and answered my many questions, always with patience and compassion. Under his care, I have successfully come through three breast reconstruction surgeries and never once did I feel unsure of the outcome. He is an incredibly skilled surgeon, and my new breasts and my tummy look amazing! What a gift he has given me: hope and confidence. At times during office visits, I’ve seen women in the waiting room looking worried or scared or sometimes expressionless. Though I don’t know their circumstances, I want to tell them, you’re in the very best hands. Lastly, the physician assistants and office staff are wonderful and super helpful. Though breast cancer is not a good thing, I’m so grateful that I ended up in Dr. Bedri’s office. That was truly a blessing.
