My surgeon is amazing! He is a perfectionist and works so well at making sure you get what you're hoping for. He came in for another sizing try-on with me and my husband before I made my decision. He answered more questions at home and in the 2nd consult. And now that the operation is done I know I chose the right guy! I'm only 1 week post OP but things are looking great! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Written earlier: This is a report on my consultation with Dr. James Clayton’s. What a night and day difference in atmosphere, mood, feeling, impression than Dr. Moore!! It seems much more above board. I had probably 20 minutes with Dr. Clayton!! He explained a lot of the procedure with diagrams on screen and answered lots of questions about electrocautery and blunt dissection, as well as bottoming out and capsular contracture. The assistant from Dr. Moore’s office told me that bottoming out happens most of the time eventually - Dr. Clayton said that is a myth - and that he has patients that have had the same implants for over 30 years and are doing just fine. He also said that’s why they see me lots of times after the surgery for check ups to see if the massage and recovery are going well, if a special bra is needed etc. He prefers using smooth implants despite the popular idea that texture prevents bottoming out because he said he finds that textured implants tend to ripple more. He said that he likes doing the underarm (Transaxillary) incision or the inframammary incision. As I mentioned in my first consultation thread, I filled out their paperwork before the appointment. They have you print it off and bring it in. The picture permissions part says something like, you understand that Dr. Clayton will not use any photographs beyond medical use without written consent. (vs assuming you will just give permission upfront for any use like Dr. Moore) It also stated you pay $500 to make the appointment - that’s quite a bit less than 50% like Dr. Moore's!) My main concern with Dr. Clayton is that it doesn’t sound like mammoplasty (breast augmentation) is really his specialty?…This was because on a dr site where you can compare doctors and his profile didn’t list breast augmentation…when I mentioned it to Dr. Clayton he said so many online sites require membership to update your own profile and he lists all his information on his own website so he doesn’t bother with lots of other sites. He said he’s been doing breast augmentation surgeries for over 30 years and that because he did so many in the area, he was chosen as one of the doctors to try out the newer silicone implants before they were on the market. He has a lot of experience and is very confident he can give patients what they want with good communication both ways. He does have the fancy logo for ASPS showing he’s board certified and after I made an appointment, they gave me a password to go into an application where I was able to see more before and after pictures of previous patients. I found the reviews of other patients on his site as well. I liked how thorough they are in explaining all the different types of implants, all the different incision options and pros and cons, as well as allowing me to take my time and come in again to try them on if needed. I didn’t feel rushed or pressured - where I sort of did in comparison during my appt. with Dr. Moore. I’d like to bring my husband in with me to do trying on again….and thanks to their online profile application I can look at pictures of what I tried on at home. I was quoted $4,000 for the surgery and implants + $1,289 for Surgery Center/Anesthesia. I'll update after the surgery itself!

I talked with several PS regarding a BA and having pectus excavatum. When I talked with Dr Clayton he was very confident about what was needed. I had looked at before and after photos and had a very realistic expectation of end resolutes. I can't believe how great of a job Dr. Clayton did. From the size to the placement is perfect and my results are so much better than expected. From the...
